Today we’d like to introduce you to Kali Krivinchuk.
Hi Kali, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am originally from Wisconsin but I did my last residency in Idaho for Chiropractic school. I was already out west when I was applying for jobs after graduation as I wasn’t sure I wanted to head back to the Midwest quite yet. I finally decided on Willow Creek Chiropractic in Sandy, Utah for my first “big girl” job as a doctor after I graduated from Chiropractic school in April of 2021. I worked for the old owner for a year in a half then he offered to sell me the practice, which I ended up doing. Willow Creek Chiropractic officially was mine at the start of 2023. It has been a whirlwind the past two years with still being new to the state, still growing up into an adult and owning my own business. However, I am thankful for what this adventure has and will continue to teach me and mold me into who I am becoming.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not, owning a business has challenged me mentally, physically and emotionally. No-one, no school, no books can prepare you enough to be a business owner and all the high of highs or the low of lows. Some of the struggles along the way have been remodeling our office, getting newer technology and systems, and managing my team. I truly had no idea how to start a business or run a business so everything since day 1 has been a huge learning curve for me, humbling to say the least.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a chiropractor and we specialize in goal oriented care, by getting people back to doing what they love such as pickleball, hiking or playing with their kids. We see babies, elderly and everything in between for a variety of health goals. We are known for our wellness center and our friendly, caring, and compassionate team. We focus on healing plans that are tailored to each patient to meet their needs. We have a variety of services such as chiropractic, massage therapy, rehabilitation exercises, ESTIM, acupuncture, custom orthotics and low level laser therapy. We are the most proud of the family we have become as a staff and with all of our patients as we are the Willow Creek Chiropractic family. You would have to come and experience our office to see what sets us apart from other wellness centers and chiropractors.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for anyone who is just starting out is to surround yourself with others in your field and take them out to lunch, pick their brain on how they did it, why they did it, why they love it and learn from them. Stay true to yourself, your vision, your mission and your goals along the way and be adaptable to change. Everything happens for a reason but it will all work out in the end. I wish I knew how much grit, determination, blood, sweat and tears it would take to get me to where I am today, of course with the help of so many people along the way.
