Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Wardle.
Hi Madison, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my art business 6 years ago after I got married! I really wanted a modern temple picture in our home and this idea of a very geometric and modern temple came to me, idea after idea came and it just snowballed into what it has become today!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been fairly smooth! Building my instagram was the hardest thing for me because naturally I don’t love being on social and putting myself out there. There were multiple time when I was having babies where I felt very overwhelmed and wanted to quit, but whenever I would say that another opportunity would present itself and I would just get excited again!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So I am an artist and my specialty is modern geometric religious artworks! I use acrylic on wood panels! I don’t use a sketchbook
For my ideas, whenever I have an idea that comes to me I sketch it out and paint it in my head. I see all the colors, I work through problems I might have and I fully visualize it and then sketch it out on my panel!! Every shape every line you see is taped and then I paint at least 4-6 layers of paint so that when the tape is peeled off you have layers and depth to the painting.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I do feel driven and excited and when I have an idea or something I want to do I put everything into it. I don’t do anything halfway. I do love to challenge myself, it’s fun to see how much I have grown and you can’t grow in life or business without some discomfort and challenge. I have learned so much along the way as well.
