Conversations with Bailie Thompson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bailie Thompson.

Hi Bailie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is a complicated but uplifting one. I have learned and grew from a ton of different experiences. Besides my friends and family getting me through, Music and Modeling has always been there. That is my passion.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My life has not been an easy road. I went down a dark road at the young age of 16, but it was because of that experience that I became the person I am today. From that age to now, it has not been smooth; I have been in many situations that have thought me a lot of lessons that I needed. Between my experiences and the very complicated divorce I watched my mom go through, I have learned so much in my 24 years. But all of these experiences have given me a new perspective on choices.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I have always been interested in music. I have been singing since I was little but never really sang for anyone. It was always just a solo thing. I was always inspired by some of the biggest names in music, Ariana Grande, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, and Jhene Aiko, to name a few. When it comes to my voice, I work to make it better by pushing myself with different artists’ music.

I honestly never thought that I would have the amazing opportunity to work with someone like Young Raze. He has been wonderful to work with. Young Raze and I are working on a new single called Born to Grow. In this song, we talk about overcoming the obstacles in life and becoming a better version of yourself every day.

Other than music, I have modeled since I was little. When I was a baby, I won a contest for a local photography company, and with that win, my photo was sent on the postcard that went all over the country for the month of August. Later in my life, I would continue modeling for my friends in the photography business. This and working for Lane Bryant lead me to being sent to Las Vegas by the Lane Bryant company to model from them in their 2018 winter collection.

What makes you happy?
I feel like I have gone through the experiences I have in my life for a reason. If there is one thing that makes me the happiest is to help others with anything that they are going through. I feel like my experiences were not only to help me learn but also to be able to help others.

Beyond that, working towards a new goal/accomplishments
