Exploring Life & Business with Jared Fisher of escape adventures

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Fisher.

Hi Jared, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Started as a College marketing project in 1992. Grew from bike rentals to 4 bike shops, a large touring company, and a backcountry hut system in southern Utah.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Yes and no. Had two major thefts in the first 15 years – one from external and one internal in the company. The rest of our story can best be told in interview format.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
30-year-old touring company. Have 100 plus employees operating bike tours around the West USA. Love outdoor adventure and promoting sustainable practices. We visit America’s favorite national parks with our clients. The hut system we built a few years ago has been very popular. It spans from Brianhead to Escalante.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Changing the lives of people in a way that is a bit different than say getting married, graduating from school, etc. We give people a reason to stay healthy and explore the outdoors. We try our best to make sure their experience with us stays on their mind every day for the next year until they come back!
