Exploring Life & Business with William + Destiny Wallingford of Constructible Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to William + Destiny Wallingford.

Hi William + Destiny, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
A bit about us the duo:

We’re a husband and wife team who met when we were teenagers. Early in our adult partnership, we cultivated a shared passion for all things home-project related. We made the decision to forge our way in the luxury, custom home building landscape with the goal of representing morals and processes which best serve clients and the community at large. We are grateful for the opportunity to live out our dreams. We are compassionate, competitive, storm-chasing skiers, avid outdoor enthusiasts, sports lovers, gardeners, brunch and bbq curators, dog-people-over-people-people.

A bit about Destiny the entrepreneur:

With an education rooted in consumer advocacy and an entrepreneurial background focused on customer relationships, I saw the vision for creating a construction company founded from ethos.

A bit about William the professional:

I started in the trades through a diverse mix of roles as an electrician, working in horticulture, and selling human resources. I earned my general contracting license from the state of Utah and founded Constructible Company with Destiny. I have a genuine love for the art and science of building.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We strive to curate the smoothest experience possible for our clients. We deeply value treating everyone involved on any project with respect and place great emphasis on showing up for others. Similarly to how obstacles on a job site are an opportunity for problem solving, we believe our role as humans includes allowing struggles to refine our approach to living life; it is a topic we reflect on often. The death of our daughter in 2019, served as an impetus for establishing the first of its kind scholarship at the University of Utah. The WSW Memorial Endowment supports undergraduate to PhD level students who have endured the death of a child or sibling. Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Constructible Company is a family-run custom home building firm. Every home, every project, is one-of-a-kind. The definition of constructible refers to the ease in which a proven design can be brought to fruition. In our case, each Constructible project factors in safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring our clients’ dream space may be constructed within this given set of restraints. Our planning process aligns with the meaning and purpose of the constructible methodology. Each Constructible project pairs clients’ feasibility with a transparent cost breakdown. Through planning, we are able to engineer projects on time and within budget. Whether it be a personalized study or the excavation for a sports court, we attend to each detail while operating from integrity-driven values. We serve as our clients’ financial fiduciary for one of their largest assets. Therefore, quality craftsmanship is paramount. These are a few of the ways we set ourselves apart.

What were you like growing up?
