Meet Jesus Pina of American Insurance Solutions Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesus Pina.

Hi Jesus, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started this journey back in 2015 after my wife had lost her job and I too lost my job shortly after. As you can imagine this situation wreaks havoc on our financial lives because after bringing home 6 figures a year and living according to our income, in a matter of 4 months our six figures income became a 0 figure income.

That’s when we realized that we lacked financial education and it was essential for us to acquire it so that we would not be in this situation ever again.

In our search, we found a company that showed us that while we were getting educated ourselves we could also help other people acquire the same financial education we were receiving and therefore avoid having to ever be in the same situation we found ourselves in our 50s.

We then got our Life Insurance License, and later our Health Insurance License and I also got my Series 6 license after being 3 years in the industry we saw an opportunity to start our insurance agency and not have to work for someone else again.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth ride at all, mostly because as with any new venture, job, or profession there is a learning curve and not having a mentor/coach that is experienced in the industry to show you the ropes, forces you to try and figure out and find the answers to your dilemmas all by yourself, which is not bad but in turn takes more time and eventually makes that learning curve a little stiffer than it should be.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our company American Insurance Solutions Group, LLC (AISG) was founded by my wife and me in November 2018 with the intention of fixing some wrongs we saw in the industry when we first started and attending and catering to a market that doesn’t have much education and tradition in using insurance as a tool to protect themselves and their finances, the Hispanic/Latino market.

We mainly specialize in Life Insurance where we can help prospective clients choose from many products, the one that perfectly fits their needs and budget like a piece in a puzzle.

We present them with the different uses that a Life Insurance policy can offer and that oftentimes they don’t know, like protection, cash accumulation to help pay for college education, supplemental income in retirement, mortgage protection, final expense, etc.

We also help customers choose their best policy through the health insurance marketplace (ACA). We recently incorporated another line to our mix of products which is the possibility of helping the large generation of baby boomers and older generations choose their Medicare plan.

What sets AISG apart is the fact that we take pride in educating our customers first because we firmly believe that an educated customer that knows exactly what he/she needs as far as features offered by the products they buy and budget is concerned, is a client that knows that we have their best interest at heart and that, generates trust and loyalty and that’s what we aim at every time we sit down with a potential client.

As a brand and being Hispanics ourselves we understand that Hispanics are very culturally diverse and that the worst mistake you can make is to put all Hispanics/Latinos in the same bag, that’s where we come in as a company with a clear understanding of every culture in the Hispanic/Latino community and helping them understand that we understand them and that we will direct them to the product that better suits their needs and wants.

We want every person in the community to know that we are here for them and that our main objective as a company is to make sure that our top priority is their wellbeing and the benefits that they will get from the product they select and purchase to protect their families and their finances and we do that by working with the more stable and reputable companies in the industry.

What makes me happy is to know that through my advice and my guidance I have helped someone better navigate and understand the maze that life insurance or health insurance could be and that they leave happy knowing that I put their interests front and center and that their satisfaction is the most important reward I can receive as their agent.
