Hi Matt, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
MakeSpace was started by neighbors with a desire to bring people together through art making, and it’s now grown into a community hub for artists of all kinds!
Nestled into the base of Red Mountain, in Ivins, UT, MakeSpace is a gorgeous studio space, focused on visual art, that inspires creativity and builds community.
We are here for every kind of artist: creative dabbler, serious student, instructor.
MakeSpace strives to give everyone involved a remarkable experience. We offer small classes for students that have never explored the field of visual art, all the way through to highly experienced, professional artists that are looking to explore new mediums and methods.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been struggles along the way, but we are thriving thanks to our wonderful volunteers, instructors, and students that support MakeSpace!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re really focused on bringing people together through visual art. Through small classes of 6-10 students, highly skilled instructors, and eager to learn students, we are nurturing creativity and community.
