Today we’d like to introduce you to Austyn Schwab
Hi Austyn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all started back in 2021, during my senior year of high school. Like many teenagers, I was figuring out what I wanted to do with my life, but one thing I was certain about was my love for fashion – especially anything with a western flair. Growing up surrounded by Western style, from the boots to the fringe to the bold, unique looks, I always dreamed of having a space where people could find the perfect mix of modern and rustic styles.
Despite being close to the end of my senior year and the Cheer season had ended, I decided to turn that dream into reality. I launched my boutique while juggling school, starting esthetics school, and working a full-time job. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to make it work. The support of my family and friends kept me motivated through the late nights and the challenges of managing multiple responsibilities. Slowly but surely, my vision came together – I sourced pieces that spoke to the western aesthetic I adored and added my own personal touch to make the boutique truly my own.
Even while learning the ins and outs of esthetics and working full-time, my boutique continued to grow. Today, I’m proud to say that what began as a side project while I was still in high school has turned into a business I’m incredibly passionate about. It’s been a journey of hard work, learning, and perseverance, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve received along the way and can’t wait to see where this exciting journey takes me next!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business at 17 while juggling school, esthetics school, and a full-time job definitely came with its fair share of struggles. One of the biggest challenges was managing my time. There were days when I felt completely overwhelmed trying to balance everything – from sourcing inventory to keeping up with assignments to working long shifts. It was a lot, and there were moments where I questioned if I could handle it all.
Another major challenge was learning how to run a business. I had no formal training in business or marketing, so I had to teach myself everything from the ground up. There were a lot of late nights spent researching, making mistakes, and figuring things out as I went. But each setback was a learning opportunity that helped me grow, both as a business owner and as a person.
Building a customer base was also tough in the beginning. When you’re just starting out, it can be hard to get noticed, and there were moments of self-doubt when I didn’t see immediate results. But I’ve always believed in my brand and what I was creating, so I kept pushing forward. Slowly but surely, I started to gain a loyal following, and that’s when things really started to take off.
While it hasn’t been easy, every struggle has made me more resilient and more determined to succeed. The road may not always be smooth, but it’s been so rewarding, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As the owner of the boutique, I wear many hats to make sure everything runs smoothly! On any given day, I’m involved in every aspect of the business — from curating new collections and selecting the perfect pieces for our customers to managing our social media and connecting with followers. I also handle the day-to-day operations, like ordering inventory, managing the website, and ensuring that each order is packed and shipped with care.
Beyond the logistics, I’m deeply involved in building the brand’s vision and making sure our boutique remains true to the western aesthetic that I’m so passionate about. I love staying up-to-date on the latest trends, meeting with suppliers, and working on creative projects to grow our community.
It’s a lot of work, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every task, whether big or small, helps me build a stronger connection with our customers and continue to grow the boutique I’ve poured my heart into.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are so many ways people can work with, collaborate with, or support my boutique! First and foremost, shopping with us is an amazing way to show support. Every purchase not only helps keep the boutique running but also allows me to continue curating new, unique pieces that embody the western style I’m so passionate about.
If you’re a fellow business owner, influencer, or creator with a love for western fashion, I’d absolutely love to collaborate! Whether it’s co-hosting a pop-up event, doing a special product feature, or teaming up for a social media, there are so many fun ways we could work together to bring our shared love of western style.
Another great way to support is by spreading the word! Sharing our boutique on social media, leaving reviews, or telling friends and family about us helps get the word out and builds our community. I am so grateful for all the support from the people who have already helped us grow.
Lastly, if you’re a small business or brand that shares similar values, let’s connect! I’m always open to networking, learning from others in the industry, and creating partnerships that benefit both of us. There’s so much power in collaboration, and I’m excited about the opportunities that come with working alongside with you.
Thank you for supporting my journey, whether through shopping, sharing, or simply being a part of this amazing community. Your support means the world to me!
