Meet Fernando Olivares of OGDEN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernando Olivares

Hi Fernando, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
i was inspired by my brother i had no intentions on doing music at first… my whole life i was playing soccer, it was my dream to be a professional soccer player but music touched me in a spiritual way where i can express my feelings. The studio booth was my sanctuary. It healed the broken parts in my life. once i started music i never stopped i’ve been doing it ever since i was 17..

Like i said, i had no intentions doing music at all until i saw how much i inspired the youth with just my music.
Music opened up a door for me to a whole different universe and a clearer vision to where i was destined to be.
I couldn’t believe it at all, the younger kids would come up to me and tell me how much a big fan they were of me and that made me wanna go harder than i already was. After so many years of being in the music industry it put me into a position i thought i would never be in “Hope for the youth”.
Where im at right now, is a very peaceful place. Music lead me into a mindset i never thought i would have.
Im appreciative and thankful i can impact a big audience of kids to be a better role model despite the situation and circumstances they are in.
Sincerely .. Chapo

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Most definitely not a smooth road, i mean nothing that is meant for you is never supposed to come easy. But i mean the obstacles that i had to go through only made me wiser and smarter.
Some of the struggles i had to go through being an Artist was “disappointment” “Dissatisfaction” and not everyone i came across was not my real friend. Only bc they saw what i was accomplishing so it made them feel i was stepping over there toes; but i mean that’s what comes with this lifestyle right? blowing up and being a huge influence will show you who’s really on your side, bad days and good days. At a certain extent ….

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
i work as a care giver for dementia patients at a old folks home
. i am known for my loving heart. i have a big heart when caring for them it has showed me patience’s and strength. i am most proud of getting a award for being “all star of the month “

what sets me apart from others is that i get to know my people on a personal level and understand each one is different and needs different care no one is the same and i don’t just do the bare minimum it’s more than a job to me and they deserve the best care as possible.

This is why my music means more than i thought it would ever be.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What i like best about the city is the scenery, it’s beautiful seeing the mountains especially in the fall.
What i dislike about the city is there is not much to do out here, not a lot of fun activities to do out here but go to the famous 25th st and have a drink with your best buddy’s lol.
