Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristi Bissegger-cozad
Hi Cristi , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been in the medical field for over 12 years. I first started as an Xray technician and moved on as a CNA. After 3 years I graduated with my nursing degree and eventually my masters in family medicine, advanced practice nurse practitioner. A majority of my early career was with the Department of Veteran Affairs, working in Internal Medicine and Palliative care.
My interest in aesthetics started with a local medical spa in Salt Lake City working as an injector and eventually their medical director. After a few years I decided to branch out on my own opening the first full service medical spa for Tooele County.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have been extremely fortunate to have been raised in Tooele County. Many of our first clients were lifelong friends and their word of mouth has been so important to our growth. Being able to build and retain your clientele in aesthetics is difficult. Knowing your brand, skills and knowledge is the backbone to your growth. Of course, mistakes have been made but without setbacks you will never learn or grow with your surroundings.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without my mentors. From working as a floor nurse to spending my fellowship with Utah’s top injectors I have benefited from their knowledge. I had the opportunity to learn from a killer businesswoman prior to starting my own company. These string induvial know who they are!
My husband has been a huge motivator with opening our clinic, if it wasn’t for him the clinic would have never opened. he has always been my cheerleader. My family have 100% backed me up with any choice I have made in life and my children are the reason I wake up every day ready to grind out a better future for them.
The clinic wouldn’t function without my right-hand women, Elly. She puts 110% into her work and it shows in her client’s results. I would be lost without her.
