Check Out Tayler Lacey’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tayler Lacey

Hi Tayler, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been playing music for most of my life, and I started playing in bands when I was 16. I started my solo project in 2015 and since then have released multiple albums, EP’s and singles! Growing up I listened to a lot of classic rock and country rock which kind of lead me down the path of folk and Americana music that I make today.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been struggles. As a musician who plays local shows it’s pretty common to play for rooms of 4 people or a bar full of people who don’t care about the music you’re playing. I really think just pushing through those tough experiences is key. I’m not a super star by any means now but learning to preform just for the love of preforming helped me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Folk singer and songwriter. I think my music is known for being lyrically driven with traditional folk styled instruments like banjos, harmonicas, acoustic guitars. I’m most proud of the music I’ve been able to release. As stated before I’ve had the privilege of having by multiple releases.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One that stands out is when I was little my mom would read books aloud to me. We’d gather around the couch after dinner and she’d read Harry Potter to me. I remember very much enjoying those moments.
