Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Noschang
Hi Pamela, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a proud “gaúcha” from Canoas, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, but I currently live in Utah, United States. Before moving here, I always dreamed of traveling, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the financial means. Until one day, I decided to change my life. Let me share a bit of my journey with you.
Since childhood, I’ve dreamed of exploring the world. I loved watching movies and seeing the characters enjoy their vacations while traveling. However, I come from a humble family that could never afford those experiences. Even so, my dreams had no limits. I worked hard to change my reality. I took on odd jobs, saved every penny, and invested in knowledge. I decided to study Information Technology (IT) because I knew it was a promising field. I worked in IT for a few years, but my passion for creativity led me to explore other paths.
I took acting and modeling courses, and eventually, I found my way into Marketing. I chose this field because it was less “bullying” to women at the time, and I fell in love with it. During that phase, I created a fashion blog with friends, just to test my skills in SEO and digital marketing. But deep down, my biggest dream was still to travel. So, I decided to pursue another path: I became a flight attendant. I completed the course, passed the ANAC exam, and earned my license to work in Brazil. But there was a challenge: I didn’t know English, and no airline would hire a flight attendant without at least basic proficiency in the language. That’s when I decided to move to the United States.
My sister had been living in the U.S. for a few years with her husband. At that time, I was well-established in Brazil: I owned my apartment, held a marketing manager position, and was preparing to transition into aviation. Everything changed when my sister announced she was pregnant. My heart was filled with joy, and I knew I wanted to be by her side during this special moment. At the same time, I saw an opportunity to learn English. I went through the process to get a student visa and moved to Utah.
Before coming here, I had never heard of Utah. But I fell in love with the state. Here, traveling became more accessible: affordable flights and amazing destinations I could reach by car, like Las Vegas and California. It was here that my dream of exploring the world began to come true. Since I’ve always been curious, I started exploring places that aren’t widely mentioned. Additionally, being close to my sister and witnessing my nephew grow up was a blessing.
The initial plan was to study English and return to Brazil to pursue my dream of flying as a flight attendant and living that glamorous life. But life had other plans. I met my husband, we fell in love, got married, and started building a family together. Today, we travel together, visiting incredible places that once only existed in my dreams. He even helps me take photos and videos to share with you on social media and make content.
We went in so many amazing places, and I couldn’t help but share these amazing discoveries and places – I need to share them with Brazilians! That’s why I created travel blog (pamelanoschang.com) and my social media accounts, a space where I provide travel tips, tricks to explore the world on a budget, surreal and lesser-known destinations, and much more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a content creator is an incredible and challenging job, full of rewards but also filled with difficulties that are often invisible to those on the outside. Among the biggest challenges, I would highlight the lack of appreciation from some companies, especially here in Utah.
Many times, companies want everything for free and fail to recognize the value our audience and work bring to them. This doesn’t happen only to me; I have several content creator friends who face the same issue. It’s frustrating when we invest time, effort, and creativity into producing quality work, only to be treated as if what we do has no worth.
Additionally, something that deeply shocks me is the lack of respect for our work, such as when companies use our videos or photos without permission. I’ve experienced situations where I had to report or directly contact large companies to request that they remove my content or pay for it. And I’m not talking about small businesses; in my case, it was two very well-known resorts here in Utah that used my content without authorization. It’s discouraging to see brands with ample resources behaving so disrespectfully.
Another common challenge is that many companies only offer product or service exchanges (the infamous “trade”) instead of fair payment for the content we produce. It’s as if they ignore the fact that this is how we make a living. Creating content requires time, equipment, planning, and a lot of dedication – it’s a professional job, and it should be treated as such.
Businesses and the industry need to understand that content creators are now one of the most effective ways to promote their products, hotels, and destinations. We serve as the bridge between brands and the audience, bringing a human and genuine touch that traditional advertising methods simply cannot deliver.
I constantly receive messages from followers saying they had no idea the places I feature even existed. This demonstrates the power of influencer marketing: we connect people to real experiences and destinations that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Companies need to recognize that influencers are the new marketing. People no longer read newspapers as they once did and tend to ignore traditional ads, often finding them invasive or untrustworthy. What they are looking for is authenticity: they want to see real people sharing real experiences. That’s what builds connection, inspires trust, and, most importantly, drives results.
When a content creator shares an experience—whether it’s at a hotel, restaurant, or tourist destination—the impact is far greater because it comes from an honest and engaging perspective. The audience feels represented and inspired to experience it themselves. This is why investing in influencers is not just a trend but a necessity for brands looking to grow in today’s market.
Companies need to start valuing these partnerships and see creators as professionals who deliver tangible results. Marketing has evolved, and those who don’t keep up with this shift risk being left behind.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Stay consistent, remain determined, and never allow perfectionism to hold me back or prevent me from achieving greatness. It’s better to take imperfect action and create something meaningful than to let the fear of imperfection stop me from sharing my ideas and talents with the world. Progress comes from perseverance, not perfection, and every step forward is an opportunity to grow and create something extraordinary.
