There are countless ways to share my journey, but the perspective I wish to convey is my deep love and respect for the foundation upon which our unique formulations were built—and how that foundation evolved into the brand we proudly present today.
I was raised by a devoted single mother, a hardworking woman who pursued a career driven by passion and purpose. Her mission was skincare. Shortly after she aspired to this dream, my stepfather—who became the best dad I could have asked for—entered my life. He, too, was an entrepreneur, a figure I deeply admired and looked up to. Together, they shaped the path that would ultimately lead to the creation of our brand. As a young girl, I watched my mother’s business flourish, witnessing first hand her meticulous process of custom-blending products for each client. Over time, as demand grew, she launched her own skincare line, ensuring that her transformative solutions were always at hand. The most profound lesson I learned from her, however, was the undeniable impact she made on her clients’ lives through the improvements in their skin. When she began to call it “Corrective Skincare,” it was because she saw her work as a way to correct and enhance her clients’ natural beauty, and the results spoke for themselves.
The seeds of my own entrepreneurial journey were planted early. When I was just 10 years old, I set up a lemonade stand in front of my mom’s hair salon, right next to my dad’s bar. Recognizing a golden opportunity, I capitalized on the clientele from both establishments. This early venture, which I ran every summer for several seasons, was my first taste of being my own boss—a role I have embraced since I was 19 years old and never looked back.
The journey of establishing a skincare clinic and developing a brand wasn’t without its challenges. From training professionals who would later attempt to replicate our formulations, to nearly securing a deal with a major retailer only to walk away due to compromising requests that would compromise the integrity of our formulations—there were hurdles at every turn. My mother’s dedication was unwavering, even as she balanced the demands of running a clinic with the complexities of launching a product line.
As I entered college, I became my mother’s apprentice, absorbing everything she knew. Her teachings and inspiration, along with the entrepreneurial spirit of my stepfather, guided me to become both a Master Aesthetician and a college graduate. Over the past twenty years, I have evaluated thousands of faces, including entire families across generations. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the transformative effects of our products and the enduring confidence they inspire in our clients.
When asked why I chose to become an Aesthetician, my answer is simple: I am passionate about enhancing people’s self-confidence through improving their skin. Time and again, clients have shared how our products have changed their lives by changing the way they feel about themselves. What a gift to be able to share this with so many people to help them feel and look like their best self. These formulations have been my most powerful tools as an Aesthetician, fostering a loyal clientele who rely on us for consistent, proven results.
Our brand’s longevity is evident not just in our history, but in the enduring beauty I see in my mothers skin, my own skin and in the skin of my clients, and in the way others notice and inquire about their radiant complexion. This continuous cycle of positive transformation inspires me to grow Corrective Skin, ensuring that we can continue to deliver these benefits to an even broader audience.
It wasn’t until after my stepfather’s passing that I was able to take over the product side of the business. It was then that I made the decision to scale our brand, driven by the need to honor his legacy and to bring our trusted formulations to more people.
I envision Corrective Skin evolving to meet the needs of those who have trusted us for years, and to introduce new clients to our effective, integrity-driven skincare. My vision for Corrective Skin is to be a leading provider of premium skincare products, striking a perfect balance between science and nature. Through meaningful engagement, we will empower consumers with our holistic approach to ingredients and skincare. Once they experience our products, they won’t just be consumers—they will become our clients, and as our clients, they will always be our top priority. At Corrective Skin, we believe that our success is measured by our clients’ results, for it is those results that have defined our brand from the very beginning.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“One of the biggest struggles I face is navigating the growing pains of scaling my business. We’re at a point where our demand exceeds the capacity of our current manufacturer, but we’re not quite large enough for bigger manufacturers to take us on as a client. This in-between stage is challenging, requiring creative problem-solving to keep up with production while ensuring product quality remains consistent. It’s teaching me the importance of building strong relationships, planning for growth, and staying adaptable during this transitional phase.”
“Another struggle I face is coming to terms with the fact that I can’t make everyone happy. There will always be differing opinions and expectations, but I’ve learned that staying true to my integrity and the reasons why I started this journey is what matters most. This realization has been both humbling and empowering, as it reminds me to focus on my mission and the positive impact I aim to create, rather than getting sidetracked by trying to please everyone. It’s a lesson in resilience and staying committed to my vision while pushing forward.”

I am the CEO and founder of Corrective Skin LLC, a brand built on decades of experience and expertise. What makes us unique is that we’re not just any skincare company—we’re a mother-daughter, female-founded organization, with three generations now contributing to our vision. Our formulations are trusted and well-known in the Salt Lake City community, where we’ve proudly served customers for over 30 years.
What do you do, and what do you specialize in/what are you known for?
We specialize in corrective skincare, offering trusted, effective formulations created by aestheticians who deeply understand skin health. Our journey began as a service-based esthetics business, but we’ve since grown into a full-fledged e-commerce brand at www.correctiveskin.com, where we aim to educate and empower customers to find the best solutions for their skin.

What are you most proud of, brand-wise?
I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built over the years and the loyal community we’ve cultivated. Transitioning from a local service business to an e-commerce brand has allowed us to reach even more people, and the feedback from customers who feel empowered and confident in their skin because of our products is incredibly rewarding.
