Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Sandoval
Lee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started doing cakes with my family growing up, and as I got older would do it for close friends as well! Eventually in high school my friends told me I should start selling them and my first cake ever was for a close friends graduation.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a pretty hard being self taught. I have never really prioritized my business as I had to focus on other factors in my life and was constantly working full time to support myself. During my free time I would teach myself how to properly decorate and bake.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in home made baked goods. One of my most popular baked goods vintage heart cakes! I am most proud of incorporating my culture into my business. I try to bake traditional mexican baked goods. I think what sets me apart is my style as well as my culture.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important thing I’ve learned has been patience and learning to prioritize myself.
