Today we’d like to introduce you to Haleigh Mortensen
Hi Haleigh, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Wes and I both have worked in the custom apparel industry for awhile. We both took a break from it and were pursuing other careers when we found this space in Eden with screen printing, embroidery and vinyl equipment. It was a great opportunity for us and we just went for it!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Taking the leap and opening our own company has been challenging and scary but we wouldn’t change one part of it.
One thing that we have in common is it has been a dream to have our own company and doing this together has been so great. We get to merge our creative passion with creating custom apparel for teams, school and businesses.
One of our biggest struggles has been with updating our equipment. Within the last 10 years there have been so many advancements in screen printing and vinyl technology. It’s all great but getting that new equipment in our shop has been a priority that we are still working on.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
There aren’t any print shops in Eden, but there are plenty of creatives. We have found a lot of enjoyment in finding a way to communicate with artists and business owners alike to bring visions to life. Whether it is applying a logo to Hats and Hoodies. Or getting an oil painting translated on to a tee shirt, we can do it.
How do you think about happiness?
We enjoy not working in a typical office environment, while taking advantage of feeling right at home. Between the background music, the shop dog, and a creative environment for our child to participate in, we get to stay in one place and let it all grow together. We truly lucked out on our location!
