Hi MARCEE, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
10 years ago, my sons needed a way to earn money for Boy Scout camps. From there, the Cotton Candy business was started! Over the years, they moved on to their careers, and the youngest in the family decided to continue spinning cotton candy. We have loved spinning cotton candy at local events, rodeos, birthday parties, weddings, vow renewals, retirement homes, neighborhood parties, and local boutiques. We also offer prepackaged products. These are great party favors! Sugar on Sugar has over 25 flavors to choose from. The joy that comes from spinning cotton candy and handing the product to a customer who giggles with excitement is why we love this business!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some challenges have been attending events with little to no traffic. We try and use this experience as an opportunity to connect with the other vendors. Weather is another factor when facing challenges in our business. We have spun at events where there was lots of rain. All of the challenges that have come our way provide us with more information needed to become more proficient in our business.

Our business offers a variety of Cotton Candy flavors. We make very FLUFFY cotton Candy! Our customers often walk away stating how large the puffs are. We have also created cakes, glitter drink puffs, cake puffs, and push pops, and we are open to other ideas!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see that we will work toward packaging items for our drink line.

- $125 is our starting price for our cart services
- No charge for neighborhood pop-up parties
- $5 for packaged items
