Meet Carly Caudle of Western Blue Bodywork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Caudle

Hi Carly, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In my early adulthood I slowly yet frantically stumbled through life searching for a greater purpose. That purpose stopped my world and simultaneously became it – my little boy.
I found myself as a single mother when he was only four months old, hellbent on giving him a peaceful and happy upbringing.

As I carefully picked up the pieces of my chaos, each piece arranged itself into a newfound inspiration that was foreign and beautiful and soundless instead. I watched as those pieces finally nudged my life into alignment.

I stepped into a sensical and powerful new chapter as I began gravitating towards a profession that would give me more flexibility – and so I started to learn and understand the art of bodywork.
My evolution through massage school left a deep impact on me, and, instead of just a flexible career, bodywork quickly became one of my most sacred passions.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been challenges with launching Western Blue. I keep telling people that opening a small business is not for the faint of heart and is far more elaborate than I could have imagined!
For me, the biggest challenge has been building a social media presence and marketing. When I was 18, I swore off social media for good and refused to use it in any capacity – being a part of it had become a moral dilemma for me and I could see how destructive it was becoming for our society and future generations. However, I reluctantly made the heavy decision of downloading Instagram and Facebook in order to promote my business. After years of preaching how evil social media is, I felt like the biggest hypocrite… but I slowly realized that there is an inspiring and uplifting side to it. After patiently working through feelings of shame, I surrendered to the path my business needed to take in order to thrive.
Needless to say, I have had to shift my perspective a lot since starting Western Blue. Embracing personal growth, staying open-minded, and being present has carried me through this process.

As you know, we’re big fans of Western Blue Bodywork. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Inspired by the graceful Western Bluebird, we believe in the transformative power of massage therapy as a cornerstone of wellness. Just as the bluebird symbolizes renewal and hope, our approach to bodywork is designed to help you embrace transitions and reclaim balance in your life –

While living in the Montana wilderness, a family of Bluejays nested in the aspen grove that surrounded my house. The mama bird chose the tree closest to my balcony, so all of my days were filled with her beautiful songs. During such an arduous time in my life, her voice brought me peace and made me feel lighter, made me more in tune with my body and our beautiful earth.

The simple and precious things focus us, level us, ground us. I gather all of these simplicities in my life and channel them through my work. Always with an open and grateful heart, I aim to be a catalyst in healing and promoting systemic wellness for each individual client.
