Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to redefining the modern office experience hasn’t been without its challenges. Shifting long-held beliefs about the workplace has been a significant hurdle—many still view office space as a necessity rather than an opportunity to create value through experience. One of the biggest misconceptions is underestimating the power of community; remote work may offer flexibility, but it limits the organic connections that drive collaboration and innovation. In an increasingly competitive world, proximity is more valuable than ever—being in the right environment fosters relationships, sparks ideas, and fuels growth. Additionally, the way people consume office space is evolving, especially among younger professionals, who prioritize flexibility, engagement, and culture over traditional models. At Kiln, we believe that rethinking the workplace isn’t just about providing a desk—it’s about creating an ecosystem where people and businesses thrive.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Our sector is young and nascent but is expecting to become a third of all office space. Young employees are seeking a change from traditional office to a more amenity rich and communally oriented work place. As companies seek great talent, they need to offer their employees flexibility along with a variety of tools and choices for how to engage with their work environment. Along with this comes the need for the office to not only be functional but to be beautiful and inviting. The old days offices being work factories is over, in the coming decades offices will become temples of creativity driven by community.

  • Kiln Access starts at $49 a month but 24/7 memberships start at $250 a month depending on your location and private offices typically start at $1000 a month.
