Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexa Roskelley
Hi Alexa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always enjoyed beauty and esthetics but never considered it a viable career option. Instead I began schooling at Weber State University for Communications when i graduated high school. But as many others experienced, when the Covid Pandemic hit I was at a loss. Even though in 2021 my classes began again, I didn’t have as much enthusiasm for my degree in communications. I also was experiencing some major life milestones like marriage, moving, a new job etc. So I decided to focus on working but something felt missing. As much as I loved my job working for a local family owned company, I knew it wasn’t what I wanted to do forever. I quit and had to take a big look in the mirror at who I was and what I wanted to accomplish. I came across an ad for a local esthetics school offering to help get a license in just four months. This seemed like such a deal and at the right time! So I toured the school one day and without thinking I applied! It was such an amazing journey attending esthetics school and it really helped me grow as an individual to become more confident.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I began taking clients as soon as I graduated and I felt like I was riding a wave. But not long into my career I found out I was pregnant with my first baby and I suffered immense morning sickness, to the point I couldn’t move sometimes. It was really distressing, I constantly wondered how I would get through certain appointments because of my sickness. But I have such loyal clients who were so understanding! And having a beautiful baby boy was such an empowering experience that I feel even stronger and motivated to grow, despite maybe having a more limited availability. But my wonderful clients always keep me booked and I am so grateful for their support.
As you know, we’re big fans of Sol Beauty Studio. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a solo esthetician offering custom facials, waxing and brow services. I enjoy spending time with people and making them feel beautiful inside and out. I’m so proud that when individuals see my brand, they know I try my best to offer the most clean and natural services. From using eco friendly reusable implements to vegan products, I am always researching ways to make my business more sustainable.

Give my social media some love! I don’t have all the time in the world especially since becoming a mom, but I’ve been working hard to create content that educates and inspires. And hopefully I can get some more clients out of it 😉
