Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcella & Gabby las hermanas de Real Estate
Hi Marcella & Gabby, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Gabby and I grew up surrounded by real estate—our mother has been a licensed agent since 1999, and we always admired her work. But our journey to becoming Las Hermanas de Real Estate wasn’t immediate.
I spent over 15 years in the mortgage industry, a decade of which I worked for a company where I felt undervalued. I knew I was capable of more, and eventually, I took the leap into real estate. It was the best decision I ever made. I quickly built my business, helping first-time homebuyers navigate the process, and it didn’t take long for Gaby to join me. With her own strong background in real estate, we became the perfect team.
Now, Las Hermanas de Real Estate is more than just a business—it’s our way of continuing our family legacy while creating new opportunities. In just one year of working together, we’ve helped dozens of families and even hosted our first client appreciation event with nearly 80 attendees. Social media has been a game-changer for us—27 of our 35 transactions in 2024 came directly from a social media post.
Beyond helping clients buy and sell homes, we are passionate about educating and empowering the Latino community. We’ve taken leadership roles, including my time as NAHREP Salt Lake City Chapter President, and we continue to advocate for homeownership within our community.
Looking ahead, we know we’re just getting started. Our goal is to scale our business, invest in real estate, and continue making a lasting impact. We are incredibly grateful for every client who trusts us, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Las Hermanas de Real Estate!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped us.
For me, leaving the mortgage industry after a decade of feeling undervalued was a leap of faith. Building Las Hermanas de Real Estate with Gaby in a competitive market came with struggles—balancing business growth, family, and leadership, all while advocating for first-time homebuyers in a system not always built for them.
Scaling was another challenge. In 2024, we closed $23M across 35 transactions, with 27 coming from social media, forcing us to refine our systems while maintaining top-tier service. Stepping into leadership, like my role as NAHREP Salt Lake City Chapter President, added another layer of responsibility.
Despite the obstacles, we never lost sight of our mission: helping families achieve homeownership, build wealth, and create a legacy—just like our mother did. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s made us stronger, and we’re just getting started!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Las Hermanas de Real Estate, we specialize in listing homes and selling them quickly & first time home buyers!
What sets us apart is our strong social media presence—27 of our 35 transactions in 2024 came directly from a social media post. We know how to position a home in the market to attract the right buyers fast.
With my 15+ years of mortgage experience, we also bring a deep understanding of financing, negotiations, and what it takes to close smoothly. Beyond just selling homes, we’re passionate about educating and advocating for the Latino community, ensuring homeownership is accessible to all.
What we’re most proud of? The impact we’ve made—not just in sales, but in helping families achieve their goals. From selling homes quickly to hosting our first client appreciation event with nearly 80 guests, we’ve built a business rooted in trust, results, and community. And we’re just getting started!
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to us is building lasting relationships and empowering our clients. We don’t just see our work as buying and selling homes; it’s about helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership and creating generational wealth.
As sisters, we’re passionate about supporting each other and our community, especially the Latino community, to navigate the often complicated real estate process. It’s not just about making a sale—it’s about providing guidance, education, and advocacy to ensure our clients make informed decisions.
We’re proud of the trust our clients place in us and the impact we’re making through our work. That’s what keeps us motivated and focused on creating positive change in the lives of the families we serve.
