Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Furton.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our journey started with a passion for people, positive energy and community. Coffee was our way to do that. We started in a double sided drive thru in 2004 with great coffee and a commitment to building a community around it. To build the community we got into the community through events. Farmers Market Ogden, local races and charitable donates where the ways we wanted to GIVE to our town. Then in 2012 we began roasting with the goal of offering high-end quality coffee while staying true to our values of kindness, sustainability and positive energy. Over the years we have refined our craft, built relationships with like-minded customers/partners and expanded our presence.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any small business, we’ve faced our share of challenges. One of the biggest was balancing quality and affordability while dealing with fluctuating green coffee prices. As costs rose, we had to adjust pricing carefully to stay sustainable without compromising on our values or alienating customers.
Logistics has also bee a learning curve- finding reliable shipping partners, managing bulk purchases of packaging, and ensuring smooth operations as we scaled.
Through it all, staying true to our mission—focusing on community, positivity, and great coffee—has helped us push forward. Challenges come with growth, but they also bring new opportunities.
As you know, we’re big fans of Daily Rise Coffee. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
