Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Dickshinski.
Hi Danielle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
At the beginning of my journey, I believed I was being selfish for wanting to get into the medical field to find relief from my own physical and emotional pain. I grew up with this internal pressure to use high ambition to prove my worth and value, but could not understand the source of the emotional discomfort. My first exposure to Eastern Medicine was in my undergraduate program in an “Alternative Medicine” course. Here, I was introduced to Acupuncture, Reiki, Yoga; which sparked my curiosity.
My first experience with Reiki allowed me to experience a deep sense of internal peace away from the chronic chaos of anxiety including relief from insomnia. This sense of calm centered my focus and left me wanting to learn more about how Reiki works with the body and mind. Changing course from holistic psychology, I switched to Pre-med to prepare for Naturopathic medicine alongside training to become a Certified Reiki Practitioner and Teacher. It was within the Naturopathic program, I was exposed to Acupuncture, Nutrition, and Herbal medicine and diagnosed with Celiac disease. When a gluten reaction occurred, the pain felt similar to the flu times ten with joint pain, muscle aches, brain fog, digestive upset with sharp, stabbing pain, irritability, and more. Acupuncture was the only therapy to cut the pain and discomfort by half within the first session. I was in awe of how this therapy supplied a quick relief to what would have been a 4-to-7-day recovery.
After switching from the Naturopathic medical program to Chinese Medicine for a Master’s degree in Acupuncture, I was able to use weekly Acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle changes to heal my gut health and brain health. As the gut is known as the “2nd brain”, any imbalance could affect the brain by altering moods and emotional well-being. Within this program, multiple, major life events left me searching for relief in dealing with emotional pain and the urge to decrease this internal pressure of anxiety. As these new stresses exposed repressed memories from childhood, I turned to Chinese medicine and my training to work through the grief, anxiety, depression, and fatigue.
I came to a later understanding of how PTSD, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, had a chronic effect on my physical and emotional well-being of anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, digestive imbalances, and more. Acupuncture supported the transition from being highly triggered with stress, to empowering me to work through the PTSD, tame the triggers, learn new tools to improve emotional well-being and stress, and reclaim the power that was taken at a young age. It is a continual process of healing and growth, but with self-care incorporating the tools I have learned and use within my practice; I have come into a place of acceptance and stepping into my own worth and power. The idea of selfishness has transcended into the understanding of being “self-full”. By being “self-full” one can help others without taking away from themselves allowing for an internal calm to be of service.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Rebuilding a practice from the ground up after moving from another state (Arizona), had its own set of challenges. Rebuilding after having a successful practice definitely pushes you to grow as a business owner and person, while reshaping your confidence in a new terrain. I have been pleasantly surprised in the flow of growth after being here for almost 3 years in Utah. The business has grown organically and has blossomed even beyond what I have expected. The people in the Logan and surrounding areas have been so wonderful and supportive. I love how Utah is so empowering and supportive of small and local businesses. I am truly excited about expansion and helping more people heal this year. Thank you!

I have a very special place for those who have had miscarriages, pregnancy losses, or infant losses. I had a pregnancy loss last year when we were trying for our 3rd and wanting a girl. We found out we were having girl right after the loss and 2024 was a very devastating year for us personally. We did get pregnant and had our rainbow baby girl in 2025 within 2 weeks post the 1 year anniversary loss of our other daughter. This polarizing life experience has definitely shaped my approach on life, Fertility, and loss. It drove me to design a new Fertility program specializing in supporting those in having a history of pregnancy loss and trying to use TCM, Traditional Chinese Medicine, integrated with Western Medicine as needed, to lower the risk of reoccurrence. It has also drove me to design a miscarriage support program to walk with patients in all stages of their loss and grief because there is an immense gap in care during this experience.
