Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosie Babbitt.
Hi Rosie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story is an interesting one, not one I’ve heard told before and I am very grateful for this opportunity to both tell and share my story with others. Some could say my story started with the suicide of my husband back in January of 2021, but I choose to write an empowered narrative of my rebirth instead…
Grief cracked me open like nothing else had in my life before. By 26, I was now a solo parent to a 1-year old and widow. I had so many questions surrounding my husband’s death and no idea of how to wrap my head around something so unpredictable and SHARP. Though I have always been quite sensitive and attuned to subtle energies, it wasn’t until I completed my astrology training and intuitive mentorship that I truly started to see just how powerful my sensitivity was.
Through my astrology training, I learned that there are strong correlations between subtle energies (ie the planets and the transits they light up in our birth charts) and the way we live out our lives. Reading after reading, I would see patterns emerge and that only fueled my obsession with learning more about the cosmos and how we are all connected to it. I founded Stellium Girlie Astrology LLC on April 1, 2024–a little mischievous wink to the Universe to start a business on the day of tomfoolery.
This past winter, I felt the need to seek mentorship to develop my intuitive gifts. I had been struggling tremendously with my life purpose, physical body symptoms, and an overall need for something more. And more I received! During my mentorship, I unlocked my mediumship gifts. Though I had been connecting with my late husband all these years, it was an absolutely wiiiiiild experience to be witnessed and encouraged that what I was doing was *actually real*.
Now, I blend and weave the esoteric tool of astrology as well as intuitive healing and mediumship in 1:1 readings.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh lord… it has not been smooth! As a single parent (and solo one at that!), I have seen many a rough sea! There were several times in my life where I KNEW I was meant to make my own business (ie throwing my friend’s a yoga retreat, teaching one-off workshops on women’s pleasure and empowerment, hosting community soundbaths in my backyard). But I was scared, ok? I know I’m not alone in that feeling and I truly feel that the biggest struggle I’ve had is actually trusting and fully believing in myself.
My biggest hurdles have been the fear of being seen/perceived–beliefs that held me back from growing a following and reaching the people interested in my services and magic. Another hurdle was being criticized when I would begin to show my gifts and interests in occult and divine feminine wisdom. It truly took allowing myself to be seen REGARDLESS of what people thought of me combined with the love and support of those closest to me to finally see my full light and power.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Tbh one of my least favorite question for years was, “What do you do for work?” It’s honestly so boring, played out, and never invited me in close enough to share my true essence with others.
Now? I fully claim that I am an artist, astrologer, mother, and intuitive. I specialize in reading astrology charts–this can mean anything from your basic natal chart reading, to reading astrocartography charts that can help show you different geographical areas and cities where you could most thrive based on your chart placements. I utilize various prediction tools like progressed charts, zodiacal releases, and planetary transits to further assist my clients in noticing better timeframes to focus on themes related to love, career, home life, and beyond.
As mentioned, I also offer mediumship to those who wish to connect with loved ones that have transitioned into the spirit world. I am trained in Reiki I + II and do intuitive healings that look a lot like a super deep guided meditation that helps release stagnant energies in the chakra system and auric field.
But one of my truest loves is writing (I’m a Gemini rising and have Mars in the 3rd house, if you know you know). It’s cathartic to storytell and when I’m not writing or working one-on-one with clients, you can most likely find me in my backyard art shed painting or writing poetry.
What matters most to you? Why?
Impact. We are all energetic beings here to figure out who we are and to help others do the same. It means THE WORLD to me to know how my readings, my writings, and my vulnerability have impacted people–it truly brings me to tears.
Connection, collaboration, creation, acceptance, love, forgiveness, the natural world… These are all the reasons why I have continued onward, even when I had no idea where I was going or what path I could choose next.
