Exploring Life & Business with Kiley Steed of Wild Lotus Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiley Steed.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Wild Lotus Consulting began during a yoga teacher training, where I had a powerful realization. I was surrounded by talented, creative women—yoga instructors, artists, holistic practitioners—who were deeply passionate about their work but struggling with the business side of things. It became clear to me that there was a real need for thoughtful, aligned business support in these industries.

Before launching Wild Lotus, I spent years in the corporate world, where I often felt burnt out and disconnected from the kind of work I truly wanted to be doing. That experience, combined with my desire to create a more flexible, values-driven lifestyle, led me to start something of my own—something that would allow me to support women in building strong, sustainable businesses without compromising who they are.

Today, my work is guided by a deep passion for helping female business owners succeed. I believe that women-led, creative businesses are powerful forces for change, and I’m honored to help them thrive through systems, strategy, and support that aligns with how they actually want to work and live.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I left the corporate world after years of trying to create real change but constantly feeling like my voice didn’t matter. I knew I was ready for something different—something where I could actually make an impact and be heard.

The first year of running my business was full of learning curves. One of the hardest parts was the isolation, especially as someone with undiagnosed ADHD at the time. I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t able to be productive in the ways I had been in a traditional work setting. Getting diagnosed and learning how to work with my brain instead of against it was a huge turning point—not just in how I worked, but in how I supported my clients.

There were moments I questioned if I had made the right decision, especially early on. But every time I sat down with a client and saw their progress, the doubt would disappear. That’s what kept me going.

Eventually, I shifted out of that “do everything, hustle constantly” mindset and started getting really intentional with my marketing and how I showed up. Once I saw the results—repeat clients, referrals, real momentum—that’s when I moved from survival mode into true confidence as a business owner.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wild Lotus Consulting exists to support women who are incredible at what they do—but don’t always feel confident running the business side of things. I specialize in helping female entrepreneurs—especially those in creative, holistic, or heart-centered fields—build strong, sustainable businesses through systems, strategy, and smart workflows.

I’m known for making operations feel less overwhelming and more intuitive. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions—my work is personalized, relational, and rooted in understanding how each business actually functions. Whether I’m helping a client streamline their client onboarding process, implement automations, or clean up their backend systems, my goal is to create ease without losing the soul of the business.

What sets Wild Lotus apart is the blend of strategy and empathy. I’ve been in the burnout cycle, I’ve sat in the uncertainty—and I bring that understanding into every project. I help clients create businesses that not only work well, but feel good to run.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how genuine and values-aligned everything I offer is. There’s a lot of noise out there, and my clients know they’re getting real, grounded support that meets them where they are and helps them grow from there.

At the core, Wild Lotus Consulting is about helping women stop spinning their wheels and start building with clarity and confidence. Whether it’s through one-on-one consulting, workshops, or community support—I want women to know they don’t have to do it all alone.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see a major shift happening in the way small businesses—especially women-led and creative businesses—approach growth and operations. There’s a growing desire for sustainable success, not just hustle-driven scale. I think we’ll see more entrepreneurs prioritizing aligned systems, automation, and intentional strategy so they can grow without burning out.

Technology will continue to play a big role, especially in making automation more accessible and user-friendly for solo entrepreneurs and small teams. Tools like AI and workflow automation are becoming essential—not just nice-to-have—and the businesses that learn to integrate them thoughtfully will thrive.

Another big shift is the growing demand for personalized support. Business owners are getting tired of one-size-fits-all templates and are looking for guidance that really meets them where they are. That’s where I think consultants like myself can make a lasting impact—helping entrepreneurs build systems that reflect how they work, not just what’s trending.

And finally, I believe values-driven business is here to stay. More people are building businesses that support their lifestyle, their communities, and their wellbeing—not just their bank accounts. I think that’s a beautiful thing, and I’m excited to be part of it.
