Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Allred.
Hi Briana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, my parents moved us multiple times, and with every new home came fresh excitement. My dad was the kind of man who could fix anything—he even built one of our homes from the ground up. Watching him work taught me two things: the value of hard work and the incredible potential within real estate. At the time, I didn’t realize those childhood experiences were planting the seeds of a future career.
Fast forward a few years, I met my husband—and one of the very first things he wanted to do was invest in real estate. Not just buy a home, but truly invest, build, and create something bigger. We dove right in. Our first townhouse quickly became a rental. Soon after, we moved into a stunning Parade of Homes property. We finished the basement ourselves and rented that out too. Eventually, we sold that home to a professional football player—and instead of slowing down, we only picked up the pace.
Over the years, we bought, remodeled, lived in, and rented out various properties—often updating them while we lived in them. It became our rhythm. Meanwhile, I had earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing and was working in healthcare, but real estate kept pulling me in. One day, my husband said, “You need to get licensed.” And honestly, he was right. We were doing so much that it just made sense.
Getting my license wasn’t just a checkbox—it was a turning point. I made it my mission to truly understand the industry, not only to strengthen our own investments but to guide others through what is often the biggest financial decision of their lives. I took my college research mind and drive for knowledge and applied that same energy to real estate—diving into contracts, market trends, construction processes, and everything in between. I brought the heart of a caregiver into the world of contracts, closings, and negotiations. My focus became truly caring about the people I work with—where they end up and how I can protect them in an industry that isn’t always consumer-friendly.
Then came one of the most challenging—and enlightening—chapters of my journey. We decided to build a custom home in Park City. What started as an exciting dream quickly turned into a crash course in construction and resilience when our builder failed to perform their duties. Suddenly, I was in the trenches—managing permits, overseeing contractors, and learning everything from framing to finishes. It was overwhelming, frustrating, and incredibly empowering. I came out of it with a beautiful home—and a whole new level of knowledge.
That experience lit a fire in me. I realized how many people walk into real estate situations without anyone truly looking out for them. That’s why I do what I do. I’ve lived it, I’ve learned it—sometimes the hard way—and I bring all of that to every client I work with.
Because in this business, it’s not just about buying or selling a house. It’s about where people will build their lives, raise their kids, and make memories. And they deserve someone who genuinely cares about where they end up.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Every transaction comes with some kind of obstacle that needs to be reviewed or overcome. Real estate is full of moving parts, and no two deals are ever the same. I’m constantly learning, adapting, and helping clients find solutions as challenges arise. I see it as my responsibility to uncover the best possible information so my clients can make informed, confident decisions.
Personally, I’ve faced my share of issues and struggles through the many projects and deals we’ve taken on over the years. Those experiences have been invaluable—they help me relate to my clients on a deeper level and understand their situations in a way only someone who’s been through it can.
While I don’t have a specific quote I live by, I often remind myself that with struggle comes growth. That mindset keeps me grounded. Every time a difficult situation presents itself, I know there’s something meaningful to gain—something that will make me stronger, smarter, and more prepared to guide the next person through their journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a full-time Realtor, I help clients navigate one of the most significant decisions of their lives: buying or selling a home. I specialize in residential real estate, working with both buyers and sellers, and I’m especially passionate about helping people understand the process, feel confident in their decisions, and truly love where they land.
What I’m most known for is my ability to manage all the details while genuinely caring about my clients. I’m not afraid to speak up if I don’t think a home is the right fit—and I’ll always explain why. I don’t just show homes or write contracts; I become a trusted guide, a problem solver, educator, researcher, and often a sounding board throughout one of the most emotional and complex journeys a person can take.
In addition to helping clients buy and sell homes, I also assist them in preparing their homes to sell. I have a staging business where I work with a personal stager and offer it to only my personal clients, offering hands-on recommendations and staging services to make their homes shine in the market. I guide my clients in making strategic updates and adjustments that not only enhance their home’s appeal.
I also believe in providing top-tier marketing for every listing. I offer luxury photos and video for all my listings, ensuring they capture the essence of the home and appeal to prospective buyers. When needed, I collaborate with Fox 13 to showcase my listings, giving them added exposure through local media. I’m always thinking outside the box and looking for the best ways to help advertise my clients’ homes and get them sold quickly and for the best price
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that real estate is ultimately about people, not just properties. You can study the market, know the contracts, and understand the numbers—but if you’re not truly listening to your clients, understanding their needs, fears, and goals, you’re missing the heart of what this is all about.
This business has taught me to slow down and truly connect with people. Everyone’s situation is unique, and it’s not always about getting the biggest house or the best deal—it’s about ensuring they make the best move for their life. There are times when that means recommending a different path, even if it’s not very profitable for me, because at the end of the day, my priority is that they end up in the right place. Sometimes that means being a calm voice in a stressful moment, or giving tough but honest advice when needed. I’m committed to always doing what’s best for them, not just what’s best for the deal.
