Today we’d like to introduce you to Ragen Chandler.
Hi Ragen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved capturing moments through photos and videos, always on the lookout for artistic angles. In 2017, I participated in a princess party company, which sparked my love for makeup. I had so much fun getting creative with products and learning how to replicate the makeup styles of Disney princesses — or at least trying to capture the magic!
When I got married in 2019, I launched a YouTube channel to share makeup tutorials, and I also began posting on a new Instagram page called MermakeupCosmetics. Over the years, my focus has grown to include beauty, hair tutorials, movie fun, and family adventures. I have since adapted to MermakeupMagic!
My husband and I are huge Disney enthusiasts, and whenever we get the chance, we love planning trips to the parks. It’s been magical to watch our kiddos experience the charm and wonder of Disney. I love sharing their journey — and the special memories we create together — with others. I should also add that we are BYU fans-Go Cougs!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, not always. In 2020 I lost access to my Instagram account for a few weeks. After a struggle, I was thankfully able to get it back! I’m always terrified of that happening again.
Sometimes it’s hard to balance which content I want to include and feature on my page, as the algorithm is so finicky. More often than not, I share what I love, and what’s enjoyable for me!

I’m also a kindergarten teacher on top of all that! I have been teaching for 11 years!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think being proactive and staying productive has been a big part of my success. I love setting goals and taking action to bring ideas to life. Sometimes, the hardest part for me is actually slowing down and giving myself permission to relax — finding that balance is definitely something I’m still working on!
