Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Griffin.
Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Jessica Griffin. I am a mom of three who loves Jesus and saving money. I married my high school sweetheart and we live in northern Utah with our crazy dog, Buster. I work part-time as a pharmacist and I homeschool my younger two kids. My motto would probably be something like, “Work hard now, so you can play later.” I love doing all the work of planning all the things, so I started a blog in February 2025 to share my ideas.
My life isn’t just about saving money; it’s more about evaluating if something I spend my money on will really add value to my life. Can I find a way to do what I want to do for free or at least a good deal? This means I’m always looking for ways to have fun with my family and friends, eat delicious food, and go to cool places while spending less money.
I also try to be intentional with my time and I love to develop systems to make my day-to-day life easier. Come along with me as I share what I’ve learned about travel hacking, some of my favorite recipes, home organization tips, party planning ideas, homeschooling stuff, gardening, and other random family fun. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I haven’t been an instant success, I am still in the building stage. I don’t know if it will be anything big, but I’m putting in the work and leaving the results in God’s hands.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have been a Pharmacist for 16 years, I worked full-time for 2 years, then I started having babies so I cut back to part-time. Working as a Pharmacist has been great financially, but not the most fulfilling job. I have often done things on the side to benefit friends and family that end up making a little money as well.
I organized freezer meal prep parties for a while. I would do all the shopping and planning and we would all come together to make 9-10 slow-cooker meals to store in the freezer for when we needed them. Then I got into traveling with credit card points. I was so excited about how much traveling you can do with such little money that decided to start a blog in February of 2025.
I love getting people together, traveling, and planning all the things so my blog is a great way to share what I’ve learned with everyone. It is a collection of all my work to have fun with my family, friends, and anyone that wants to come along on my crazy ride.

Most people know that I hate spending money and we live well below our means. What they may not know is why we live this way. We don’t want to be tied down to payments or forced to rely on a 9-5 job to survive. Once we realized we didn’t have to give 40 hours a week to some job we didn’t love, we were in. Instead of buying a huge house, new cars, fancy coffee every day, or going out to eat all the time, we were happy to live modestly. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with what we own, we are striving for a good life without spending much money. With this mindset, we were able to pay off our house 10 years ago. This allows us to have so much freedom in our lives. That freedom is better than what money can buy.
