Hi Destiny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In January 2025, I launched Kush Kisses, my dream lip gloss brand, born from my passion for beauty and my obsession with applying gloss throughout the day—so I wanted to create my own. After experiencing an accident that gave me the extra push I needed to dig deeper and become stronger, I turned to prayer and renewed my faith in God to help me navigate the challenges ahead. A few months later, I met a mentor who inspired me to start my own business, and that’s how Kush Kisses came to life. The outpouring of love and support from the community has been incredibly heartfelt, and I’m truly grateful that fellow beauty lovers are embracing my brand!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a business has its ups and downs, especially in the beauty industry, where lip gloss isn’t a necessity for everyone, but for me, it truly is! Some months bring more sales than others, so I’ve learned the importance of consistency and connecting with my supporters. I use all my social media platforms to promote and constantly brainstorm new projects to elevate Kush Kisses.
I focus on staying consistent with my posts and bringing attention to Kush Kisses to drive sales, gain followers, and encourage shares. My goal is to grow Kush Kisses in every possible way! The support from the community has been invaluable, and I’m dedicated to building this brand and connecting with beauty lovers everywhere.

I’m most proud of my branding—the cute bottles, the name, the logo—everything is just so me! Plus, we now have Kush Kisses mirrors, and we’re excited to expand our range of products as we grow!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Finding a mentor and networking can be incredibly valuable for your business journey. One piece of advice is to seek out individuals who inspire you and are dedicated to their craft. For me, one of my friends, a business owner and one of the hardest working people I know, encouraged me to start my own venture. He taught me everything about the ins and outs of running a business, and his relentless dedication motivated me to push forward.
Networking has also been crucial for Kush Kisses. I believe in talking to anyone and everyone about my brand, which helps get the name out there. When you engage with others, your name starts to spread, and curiosity builds around Kush Kisses. Building those connections can lead to amazing opportunities and support!
