Hi Benjamin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Creative Pacific was formed 3 years ago by Afa Ah Loo and Benjamin Powell.
Afa is a fashion designer and Benjamin Powell is a hairstylist.
Creative Pacific was formed to help mentor, empower and educate your creative individuals who were interested in the career path of what we did as well as other creative spaces of work. Our mission is to empower and support communities who are underserved and overlooked when it comes to creative learning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been smooth for the most part but also a learning curve for both of us.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist and barber in 5 states. I work with schools and salon businesses on professional and educational development. I also still
work
behind the chair and take care of clients.
