Madison, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I am deeply passionate about my horses and they bring me an immense amount of joy. My first horse, one I bred and raised, is just starting her journey under saddle with my trainer and it has been quite a joy to watch her progress and grow into a very capable under saddle horse. Shes still very early in her training but I love watching her learn.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Madison, and I own Simply Majic Marketing – and equestrian, rural and country focused marketing company. Because this environment is on I hold near and dear, I am devoted to helping these businesses grow with personalized brand management and social media marketing.
My goal is to make these brands stand out with authentic, consistent and value driven marketing.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a kid I was often told that I was bossy or pushy but as I have grown into myself and found my value I have realized those traits may have been expressed that way when I was younger but they have helped me be the determined and driven woman I am today and they just needed some direction to be used in the right way.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that I wasn’t good enough has definetly held me back. Just like anyone else I have faced some struggles and some challenges that unfortunately gave me the impression that I couldn’t do it. I believe now that most of those feelings came from worrying about outside influences and what other people think. Once I really started to believe in myself and recognize that the only person I need to impress is myself I found the confidence to keep moving forward.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I believe in being wholly authentic and true to myself. Putting on a facade or trying to be someone I am not has never been something that I felt was worth my time or effort it takes to accomplish. I know on occasion that can put people off or make people create perceptions of me that aren’t the most accurate because it can be interpreted as intimidating or intense but I promise if you get to know me there is so much passion for helping others achieve their goals and so much kindness to share.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I will regret not putting my all into this business. I know that I am capable and have the resources and tools to make this an amazing thing for others to benefit from. I am so passionate about helping businesses grow and in my niche I know there isn’t a lot of time and extra energy for these businesses to put into their marketing but they deserve to be seen and deserve to be know – and I want to be part of making that happen.
