Exploring Life & Business with Brandy Boyett of Brandy Boyett Design, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Boyett.

Hi Brandy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I never planned to build a design studio. I stumbled into it by following curiosity and scrambling through. My career began in print and communications, where I designed magazines and publications. I then transitioned into art direction for women in business, working on websites and publications. Over time, I developed a more personal, handcrafted style. It only made sense to start my own design business…well, that, and I got laid off…yikes.

My career and personal path have been messy: motherhood, loss, reinvention, more reinvention. I know what it’s like to circle the dream without landing it. That’s why I’m here. My work is about making the leap less scary and a lot more human. I love layout and typography, but it is the way design pulls people into a story that makes me do what I do. I practice human-centered design. Life is hard enough. I’m all about reducing stress and making life feel easier wherever I can.

Today, I design brands and websites for women who feel stuck at the edge of starting. They’re brilliant, but fear or overwhelm keeps them circling. I know that feeling. I’ve lived it. So, I built my work around making the process feel human, soulful, and possible. It’s a space where women can see their ideas take shape, and I help them ease a little bit of the fear that holds them back.

I know that clarity isn’t this fully formed idea. It’s shaped in the mess, in the redesigns, in the moments you want to quit but still keep going. And because of that, I built a business around helping women who feel stuck at the edge of starting. Women who are circling their own dream, but can’t seem to leap.

My story isn’t a polished straight line. It’s layered with being a woman, being a mother, experiencing intense grief, bad ideas, scrapped ideas, and constant rebuilding. But that’s why my design process works; it’s not about perfection. It’s about momentum. About turning from being frozen in fear to something you can hold in your hands and say, This is mine.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would love to say it’s been a smooth road, but it’s been filled with more potholes than a Utah highway, a lot of detours…an occasional sinkhole.

I’ve had to rebuild a lot, in business, in life, in branding myself. Life reshaped me, self-doubt and imposter syndrome are real isms.

Struggles are the raw material for what I do now. I know what it feels like to start over, to second-guess everything, to wonder if the leap is worth it. And I know how powerful it feels when you finally see your idea take shape and say, Yes, I did this! The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been real. I’m ok with that.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Brandy Boyett Design, LLC?
At Brandy Boyett Design, I create branding and websites for creatives and coaches who are tired of half-finished ideas and DIY guesswork.

I help women take the ideas they’ve been sitting on and turn them into brands that come to life. I create visual identities, Showit websites, and brand systems that move business forward.

I work with artists and creatives, health care professionals, authors, photographers, spiritual coaches, tattoo artists, and more.

Here’s what that looks like:

Brand Strategy & Identity Design: uncovering your brand voice, archetype, and building the whole visual system (logos, colors, type, patterns).
Custom Showit Website Design: a site that’s mobile-optimized, SEO-ready, and designed to convert.
Social + Marketing Design: templates, lead magnets, and email setup so your brand shows up consistently everywhere.
Launch Support: making sure your new brand and site go live smoothly, with a strategy behind it.

What I’m most proud of is the way my clients show up for themselves, and leave with a brand they believe in and the tools to help them grow.

I’m also working on something I’m super stoked about. As part of an offshoot to my design studio, I’m in the process of creating a service donation program for women who want to launch their business but may not have the resources to get started. I’d love to help women feel empowered and give more women the chance to see their ideas come to life. I plan to have this launched by the beginning of 2026.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Starting your own business is never as clean or easy as the online world makes it look. It can be messy, it can be intimidating, and it can feel like you’re the only one still trying to figure it out. You’re not. Every brand you admire started as an idea and, more than likely, a lot of uncertainty. Take the leap. Momentum that’s messy is still momentum. And if you need a little nudge, give me a call.
