Today we’d like to introduce you to Gracie Hurst.
Hi Gracie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I graduated massage therapy school in 2022. When I first started working, the idea of owning my own business seemed so far from reality, so instead I focused on improving my technique and client experience. In December of 2023, the spa I was currently working for was making changes that didn’t suit what I wanted long term. After weeks of debating my future, I decided that I wanted to build something for myself, a space that where clients can receive a massage that creates lasting results and still feels like a spa experience, and that was where Gracefully Restore began!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was definitely a slow start for Gracefully Restore. I’m not originally from Utah so I didn’t have the same reach when it came to word of mouth advertising, though I did learn that slow timing can be a blessing. In the beginning I learned so much about how I wanted my business to run, how to properly advertise, how to curate my brand, and I was able to meet so many other small business owners that offered great advice and support to get me where I am now! It’s been a year now and even though I am still growing, I am so proud of how far I’ve come!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Gracefully Restore is a Massage Therapy Studio. My menu offers three main services, Custom massages, Lymphatic Drainage Treatments, and my personal specialty, The Face Restore Treatment. When creating my menu, I picked techniques and modalities that I wish I saw offered more in my industry and that I felt reflected my clients wellness goals, and then added my own personal touches that made these services not just a want, but a NEED!
Custom massages are appointments curated to fit exactly what the client needs. I use a multitude of different modalities to fit each person. I don’t believe that there is a one size fits all massage routine, clients are as unique as snowflakes and deserve to be treated that way!
Lymphatic Drainage is a light touch therapy designed to target the lymph system and help it function at a higher level. The benefits include, reduced inflammation and bloating, improved immune system function, reduced congestion, and improved digestion. In my personal practice I also include Lymphatic Cupping, it is the perfect addition to great even better results!
The Face Restore is a treatment I created, it is an upper body focused massage that includes buccal massage, a technique for massage the jaw muscles from the inside of the mouth, and facial cupping, tools that improve lymphatic function in the face. The Face Restore is made to target TMJ pain and disfunction, neck pain, and chronic headaches. Perfectly designed to give your face a healthy reset!
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’d like to share that your health is worth it, I used to push my health aside until it would affect me severely. Once I started putting myself first, I was able to accomplish more than I ever thought before, I truly loved who I was, and I wanted to grow even further. I do this work because rest is essential to every human being, and you deserve it as much as anyone else!
