Meet Anthony Pagano of Heber city

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Pagano.

Hi Anthony , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Pennsylvania and started wrestling at a young age and continued through high school. I started training Jiu Jitsu in 2007 with Eddie Edmund’s in Salt Lake City and after a short stint in Seattle I moved back to park city and began training Jiu Jitsu under Mike Diaz in 2011 and received my black belt from him in 2019. About 6 mo ago I opened my own dojo in Heber city.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been fortunate to be able to train consistently the last 15 years . Through injuries, moving, opening businesses, and fatherhood ive always made training a priority and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I think what sets me apart from others is that I live a fully integrated life. I don’t have a job instead I live each day immersed in my passions and because of that I am continually learning and developing my skills whether it’s my jiu jitsu art or tattooing. And I share that passion with others through jiu jitsu.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m an avid fly fisherman. And as much as I love being in the mats, I love spending my days on the river as well
