Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Reed.
Hi Jared, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I founded DojoTrack in 2024, drawing on decades of martial arts experience, years of teaching at martial arts schools and managing front desk operations, as well as my background as a business owner. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Web and App Development from Utah Valley University and an MBA in IT Management from Western Governors University.
Over the past five years, I’ve developed a deep passion for software development, user experience design, and AI-driven automation.
Combining these disciplines, I launched DojoTrack, an AI-powered SaaS platform designed to redefine martial arts school management. DojoTrack brings together the best features of traditional CRMs and enhances them with intelligent automation and AI-driven insights to streamline operations and elevate the student experience.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It took me nine years to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Web and App Development—a journey shaped as much by experience as by education. During that time, I had the privilege of traveling the world to compete in international Taekwondo tournaments, representing the U.S. National Team and a professional team. Balancing training, travel, and competition meant I couldn’t always be a full-time student, but I remained committed to finishing what I started—and eventually, I did.
Not long after, I met my incredible wife, and together we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world. Becoming a husband and father gave me a new sense of purpose. To ensure I was fully present for my family, I spent many late nights developing DojoTrack while they slept—fuelled by passion, determination, and maybe a little too much Mountain Dew.
When our daughter was born, I put everything on pause to focus on family. But once we found our rhythm, I returned to those late-night coding sessions—driven by the vision of building something meaningful that could help others in the martial arts community.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
DojoTrack is the leading AI software for martial arts studios, offering a complete martial arts CRM to manage students, track progress, and grow your business with intelligent automation.
DojoTrack stands apart from traditional martial arts CRMs by integrating advanced AI automations that make the platform more intelligent, efficient, and forward-thinking. These innovations deliver sustainable, long-term benefits for martial arts studio owners—streamlining operations, enhancing decision-making, and freeing up time to focus on what matters most: their students and community.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love living in Utah for several reasons. First, the state’s strong entrepreneurial spirit is inspiring—there’s an abundance of like-minded, driven individuals who are constantly building, innovating, and creating opportunities.
Second, the natural beauty here is unmatched. No matter which direction you drive, the mountains are always within reach, offering endless inspiration and adventure.
Finally, Utah’s deep emphasis on family aligns perfectly with my own values. Family is at the heart of everything I do, both personally and professionally.
