Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Nyborg.
Hi Zach, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The founding story began in Poland where Mitch Mathews and Jesse Itzler were at Wim Hof’s learning about contrast therapy with the crowning event being a hike in negative degree weather wearing shorts, no shirts, with gloves and a beanie. Jesse and Mitch asked themselves, “Why did it take 10 Americans going all the way to Poland to feel this good?” They then determined to find a way to bring that feeling back home.
Mitch came home and posted about his experience asking who knew about sauna and cold plunge, and Zach responded because he had grown up his whole life practicing the sauna ritual at his grandparent’s ranch in Idaho. Mitch and Zach had known each other from their time at BYU Football together and 4 years later, FlowHaus opened.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are always things that we would’ve liked to have done better, but overall the response has been smooth. We have over 60 5-star reviews and have had approximately 1,500 guests come check out FlowHaus in the 6 months that we’ve been open. Some of the challenges as our own brand and concept has been educating people about FlowHaus, how we focus on the community and connection, and educating on the different types of classes we offer from Floga, Sound Flow, Stretch and Recovery, Self-Massage and Breathwork.

Mitch is a former BYU and NFL football player turned entrepreneur that has been a part of a successful pest control business.
Zach is a former D1 College Football administrator turned development professional with experience now in SaaS and construction.
