Community Highlights: Meet Stacey Deittman of Selling Utah Cabins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Deittman.

Hi Stacey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into real estate really began long before I ever held a license. With more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, I’ve always been passionate about helping people and finding solutions to real-life challenges. I thrive on connecting with others, understanding their needs, and guiding them toward the right next step—and real estate became the perfect extension of that.

As a Utah native and a mom of two beautiful kids, I’ve spent my life exploring everything this incredible state has to offer. That personal connection to Utah’s neighborhoods, mountain towns, and lifestyle plays a huge role in how I serve my clients today.

Seven years ago, I made the leap into real estate, and it felt like everything clicked. It combined my strengths, my love for people, and my desire to make a meaningful impact. Since then, I’ve built a career rooted in integrity, problem-solving, and fierce dedication to my clients. I truly love what I do, and I feel grateful every day that I get to help people make one of the biggest, most exciting decisions of their lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and I think anyone in real estate over the last several years would say the same. The market has shifted dramatically in a very short period of time. When COVID hit, interest rates dropped to historic lows, which sparked a buying frenzy. Homes were selling within hours, multiple offers were the norm, and prices were climbing fast.

But shortly after, the pendulum swung the other way. Interest rates doubled in what felt like the blink of an eye, and that created a major pause for both buyers and sellers. Many homeowners who had locked in incredibly low rates felt stuck, while buyers suddenly faced affordability challenges. It led to a bottleneck effect that we’re still feeling the ripple effects of today.

The positive side is that the market has become more balanced recently. There’s more room for thoughtful decision-making, strategic negotiation, and creating win-win solutions. Navigating these ups and downs hasn’t always been easy, but it’s strengthened my skills as an advisor and reaffirmed why I love this industry so much.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Selling Utah Cabins?
My business is built around connection, lifestyle, and deep local expertise—and one of the biggest pillars of that is my brand, Selling Utah Cabins. Mountain and recreational property is not just something I sell; it’s truly a way of life for me. I’m a certified Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist, a cabin owner myself, and someone who grew up exploring Utah’s mountains year-round. Hiking, camping, fishing, dirt biking, snowmobiling, snowboarding, wakeboarding—you name it, I’ve lived it. That personal connection allows me to guide clients with firsthand knowledge of what mountain living really looks like.

Whether someone is dreaming of a cozy cabin getaway, a recreational lot for weekend adventures, or the perfect piece of land to build their legacy home, I help them navigate the unique considerations that come with mountain and wilderness properties—access, utilities, water rights, snow loads, HOA requirements, seasonal use, and more.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just know the communities—I live this lifestyle. My clients trust me because I understand the terrain, the advantages, the challenges, and the hidden gems. I’m not just selling properties; I’m helping people step into a lifestyle that I’m genuinely passionate about.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how Selling Utah Cabins has become a recognizable, trusted resource for both locals and out-of-state buyers looking for their own slice of mountain freedom. My services go far beyond the transaction. I provide guidance, education, and a personalized experience tailored to each client’s goals—whether they want a peaceful retreat, an investment property, or an adventure basecamp.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to help people find a place that brings them joy, peace, and the kind of memories that only mountain life can offer. And in Utah, we’re lucky—there’s no shortage of breathtaking places to call home.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that many people don’t know about me is that I was a cheerleader in school—and honestly, that energy has never left. I bring that same enthusiasm, optimism, and team-first mindset into my real estate career every single day.

When I’m working with clients, I’m their biggest champion. I get genuinely excited about their goals and every milestone we hit along the way—whether it’s getting pre-approved, finding ‘the one,’ negotiating a great deal, or closing on their dream cabin or home. Real estate can be emotional and overwhelming, so having someone in your corner who’s cheering you on and keeping the momentum going makes a huge difference.

That cheerleader spirit is a big part of who I am, and I love channeling it into helping people win.
