Hi Melissa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was a stay-at-home mom, living off one income. We were living in someone else’s house. It was small for a family of 4, and the landlord wasn’t the best about fixing things. I got fed up to the point that I decided it was time to move. But we couldn’t move with just income. I did some research and made my own business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

I am a bookkeeper. Bookkeepers record and organize a business’s daily financial transactions, which include updating the general ledger, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing payroll. Their main responsibilities involve maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and preparing financial statements to ensure the company’s financial health and compliance with laws and regulations.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
What I have seen as good luck can sometimes be viewed as bad luck, and Vice Versa. we can say that finding out about bookkeeping when we needed it the most was good. we could also say that it was bad luck that it took me so long to get clients. but life is a roller coaster. you can’t have the good without the bad.
