Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Aguilar.
Hi Andrea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello I’m Andrea Aguilar from Andreaguilarbeauty I started 20 years ago studying cosmetology and then specializing on hairstyling and makeup. I grown on the border of Mexico and Rio Grande Valley starting on high school with my first professional photo shoots, runways , celebrities and beauty queens.
I always had on my hand my diary with my business plan of a beauty brand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Beauty is always inside for me. The road is never easy but when you find your talent, purpose and how to make a difference on this world doing something what you love it’s only about keep going, work, discipline, professionalism, dedication and love.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Hairartist and Makeupartist Beauty team Lead on my city. We serve our city specially on brides, runways and editorial. We work each day on different projects with colleagues of the industry ( photographers, videographers, designers, brand owners, beauty pageants , fashion shows, producers) and everyone who need an amazing look our clients, our brides, our models are always our priority we are so blessed to work with people who believe on creative ideas, professional people to create only what a big dream team can do. My family, my friends for all around the world , were so happy to always connected ,share and support each others. For me it’s always a team effort it’s about help next new generations.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Brides , models and clients who believe and trust is our job it’s amazing to be a little part of their most important moments, I love the behind the scenes of runways, photoshoots, getting ready on the bride suite on this times be real, remember de laugh, the emotional moments , the energy it’s something who is with me at the same time what I’m doing the beautiful hairstyle or glam makeup. Producers from runways believe on me the looks for 45 models as Runway Rendezvous, Anna Venko top model and producer of Runway 187 trust in me her makeup for Dallas fashion week and her own show. Beauty queens as Hannah Onosetale ( Ms Universe Nigeria 2022) Taylor Lauren ( Ms Texas USA 2025 ) Andrea Lanhoso (Ms Venezuela Panamerican) I’m so blessed to work with them and create so special looks. Designers as Colombian Miguel Becerra on his Book Look, Cavalonso brand Karina Cavazos on her debut collection, Natalia Nova Dallas Fashion Week CEO , Raya Shrestha from Raya productions , Jromero brand, Attif Designs, Noire Elan debut show who I was on charge on makeup are a so special part on my journey. International Model Carlos Sanchez owner of Walking of the Universe I’m working with him supporting new models , new talents, the new generation and me as beauty team being the connection between them and where I’m active working. Amazing people like Tommy Butler from Utah owner of Shutter Spire Magazine who I met on a fashion show now it’s a so important creative visual artist who I’m so glad to work with same as Dallas Fashion Magazine , AB studios, Indigo Studio, JaydenSu , Jayortiz, APNeditorial, Finance photography my job on beauty couldn’t be the same without all their talent.
