Hi DAESHAUN & DJ D SMOOVE, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Truly all of the above, but If I had to choose one, I’d say integrity. It is important to follow through and do what you say you are going to do.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Daeshaun White, better known as DJ D Smoove. At Smoove Entertainment LLC, we create unforgettable experiences by mixing top-tier DJing with a personal, high-energy touch. I stand out by blending professionalism and personalization, making every event unique and helping all crowds come alive. In short, I’m here to elevate the party and build real connections.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Outside of my wife, The relationship I’m building with Jason Woodland with Woodland Advisors in Salt lake City, Utah has been life changing. He is coaching me to re-wire my thinking when it come to how I view myself, life and business. I see the World differently now. I am not the same person I was 5 years ago, or even just last year. I am constantly evolving, growing and opening my eyes.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self first that You are a King! That I was born to be a leader and help other achieve. That the faster I am comfortable with myself in my own skin, the more I will pour into others. I would also tell my younger self to keep traveling and seeing the world. There are many views on life and one opinion from someone doesn’t make it the correct to follow. Keep being you and being creative. People will gravitate towards you and some away from you and that it’s totally fine.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
With technology advancing so quickly today, It is crucial as a business owner to stay top minded on peoples radar. Social media is one of our best free tools to stay present and relevant today. If someone tells you that you are posting to much, then you are doing exactly what you need to do and I strongly advice that you double down when you hear that. Consistency will set you apart from others and you will be rewarded. All you need is a cellphone to get started and not high end equipment or cameras. Your audience appreciates you showing up and look forward to what you have to share.

You know, I think what people will really resonate with is the legacy of connection and celebration that was built. They’ll see that DJ D Smoove wasn’t just about spinning tracks, but more so it was about bringing people together, creating those unforgettable moments, and leaving a mark on the community and the entertainment scene. Essentially, the world will get to see a legacy of joy, community spirit, and that unique Smoove touch that I have infused into everything I do.
