Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Dalton.
Hi Chelsea, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began by working in a facility, where I quickly realized that many children require far more than just supervision; they need intentional support and deep, consistent love. Seeing these children navigate their daily lives inspired me to ensure that every child in my care knows they are valued, protected, and truly matter.
As I grew within the field, my perspective shifted from the classroom to the broader systems that affect these young lives. I witnessed firsthand how many children and families “fall through the cracks” of government programs and bureaucratic processes. This realization transformed my role from a caregiver into a dedicated advocate. Today, I am committed to navigating the complexities of court and governmental systems to fight for the resources and justice these families deserve, ensuring that no child is overlooked by the institutions meant to protect them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a long road for sure, I started my business in 2008 with the help and support of my parents. We have learned to navigated economic crisis’, global pandemic, government shut downs. And really tight budget constraints and financial circumstances.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I run a childcare center and preschool that specializes in helping the family with where they are and supporting them in any chance we can. I’m most proud when I can see the children I have loved and cared about for so long grow and flourish.
What does success mean to you?
Success for me is seeing growth in the families, and children we serve.
