Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelly Seamons.
Hi Shelly, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I bakes with my mom and grandmother from the time I was a little girl. I started my business in 2011 as Ye Ole Cupcake Shoppe in 2018 I changed the name to the Cupcake Shoppe And Bakery. We are a scratch Bakery with all local ingredients. We make cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pies, cakes, and much more. We also sell gluten-free baked goods plus cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls. I love what I do and I’m excited to continue. We have wonderful customers.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a pretty smooth ride but the last year it has been a bit of a struggle.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have worked in many areas before I opened the bakery. I was a manager at the department store. I love it and was sad when the store closed.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think good customer service, quality product and consistency is important for success.
