Meet Jamie Sagebin of Fika Reflexology Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Sagebin.

Hi Jamie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Fika Reflexology Bar was born from a life in motion.

Over the course of 15 years, I lived in 18 different states. No matter where I landed, one ritual always grounded me: reflexology. It became my constant my reset, my moment of calm in unfamiliar places. With every session, my appreciation deepened, and my curiosity grew. I wanted to understand why it worked, not just how it felt.

That curiosity led me to school, where I became certified in reflexology and foot zoning. But learning the techniques was only part of the journey. My true passion had already been forming along the way spas. Everywhere I traveled, I visited them. I studied their energy, their flow, how they made people feel welcome, relaxed, and cared for.

Over time, a vision became clear: I wanted to create a space that felt both elevated and approachable a spa where wellness wasn’t isolated, but shared. A place where people could slow down together, reconnect, and enjoy intentional care in a beautiful group setting.

That vision became Fika Reflexology Bar. Inspired by the Swedish concept of fika a pause, a moment to connect our space invites you to step away from the noise and into balance. Here, wellness is social, grounding, and deeply restorative.

Fika isn’t just a spa. It’s the culmination of years of travel, learning, passion, and the belief that taking a moment for yourself is even better when shared.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t been without challenges. Every day has been a new learning opportunity some exciting, others humbling. Building Fika has often felt like building a sandcastle: you pour your heart into every detail, knowing the waves will eventually come and wash it away. Plans change, mistakes happen, and setbacks are inevitable. But I learned that success isn’t about protecting the sandcastle it’s about falling in love with rebuilding it, again and again. Each wave brings clarity, resilience, and a deeper understanding of what truly matters.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fika Reflexology Bar is a modern wellness destination specializing in reflexology and foot zoning, designed to help guests pause, reset, and reconnect. Known for its elevated group-setting experience, Fika reimagines self-care as both intentional and social offering expert services in a calming, beautifully curated space. Inspired by the Swedish concept of fika, the brand invites people to slow down and make wellness a shared ritual rather than a luxury.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Starting a new business with nothing more than an idea and a dream is, by nature, a risk and Fika Reflexology Bar began exactly that way. Every day in business requires taking risks, whether it’s trusting your instincts, making financial commitments, or choosing growth over comfort. Risk is uncomfortable, and it’s supposed to be. I believe you only truly grow when you’re willing to sit in that discomfort and keep moving forward anyway.

I don’t see risk as recklessness; I see it as commitment. It’s the decision to believe in your vision before there’s proof, to learn as you go, and to adapt when things don’t go as planned. Each risk has shaped the business, strengthened my confidence, and reinforced the idea that growth lives on the other side of fear if you’re willing to step into it.
