Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Hill.
Hi Carrie — we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I didn’t start my career with a perfectly mapped-out plan — I started with real responsibility and a deep drive to create stability. As a single mom, I had to rebuild from the ground up, and there were seasons where the focus wasn’t “career growth” — it was simply making life work and showing up for my kids.
As I worked my way forward, I discovered what I’m naturally wired for: building relationships, connecting people, and telling stories in a way that earns trust. That’s what led me into public relations and strategic partnerships. Over time, I grew into leadership roles where I could deliver real, measurable results across corporate and nonprofit work — and I learned something that still anchors everything I do:
The most powerful PR isn’t just visibility — it’s credibility and momentum.
Eventually, I launched CHill Consulting Agency™ to do PR differently. Not just to “get press,” but to help organizations grow through clear positioning, intentional partnerships, and a brand reputation that’s built from the inside out. CHill Consulting Agency™ became the home for the work I love most: turning good missions into strong movements.
From there, two mission-driven projects naturally emerged. I created the ReFind Resilience™ Podcast to spotlight stories that deserve airtime — comeback stories, quiet grit, and the people rebuilding meaningful lives and businesses after hard chapters. And I co-created InPowerED™ in collaboration with UVU because Stop Divorce-Driven Poverty™ is real. I’ve lived how quickly stability can shift when women don’t have financial support — and I’ve also seen what happens when community and opportunity show up at the right time. InPowerED™ exists to create practical pathways back to economic stability through training, employer partnerships, and community investment.
Today, I’m doing the work that’s always been at the center of my story — building bridges, amplifying voices, and creating opportunity through strategic relationships. I’ve learned that resilience isn’t just something you survive with — it’s something you can build with.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth?
It definitely hasn’t been smooth — and honestly, I think that’s part of why the work I do now matters so much to me.
One of the biggest challenges was rebuilding stability as a single mom. When you’re carrying the full weight of providing — emotionally, financially, and practically — there isn’t much margin for mistakes. You’re making high-stakes decisions with limited time, limited resources, and a lot of pressure to keep it all together. That season taught me grit, but it also taught me humility and the value of asking for help.
Professionally, I’ve also had to navigate the “prove it” moments that come with building credibility in rooms where relationships and reputation matter. There were times I was underestimated. Times I had to advocate for my value. Times I learned the hard way that not every opportunity is aligned — even if it looks great on paper.
Building a business came with its own learning curve. Entrepreneurship can be isolating, and it forces you to get clear fast: your voice, your pricing, your boundaries, your systems. I’ve had seasons where I was doing everything — creating, pitching, following up, delivering — and still trying to grow. It can be exhausting, but it also builds leadership in a very real way.
And then there’s the emotional side — staying grounded, keeping faith, and continuing to show up publicly while privately working through real life. Some of the hardest moments weren’t loud; they were quiet. Those in-between moments where you’re holding it together while still believing a better chapter is possible.
The upside is that every struggle sharpened something in me: my empathy, my discipline, and my ability to lead with both strength and warmth. It’s also why I’m so passionate about creating pathways — especially for women rebuilding after divorce — because I know what it feels like to do it with too little support.
For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I lead CHill Consulting Agency™, where I specialize in strategic public relations, partnerships, and community-driven visibility. At the core, I help organizations and leaders get clear on what they stand for, translate that into a message people actually remember, and then build the relationships and opportunities that move that message into the market — through media, partnerships, events, and reputation-building.
What I’m known for is being a connector with strategy. I don’t just pitch stories — I build ecosystems. That means bringing the right people together, identifying mutually beneficial partnerships, and creating a plan where visibility is the natural outcome of something deeper: clear positioning, consistent storytelling, and meaningful collaboration.
My work sits at the intersection of corporate and mission-driven impact. I’ve supported brands and nonprofits — especially those serving women, children, mental health, veterans, and community initiatives — by building campaigns, earning attention, and strengthening trust in the communities they serve.
I also host the ReFind Resilience™ Podcast, where I feature stories of grit and growth. And I co-created InPowerED™ in collaboration with UVU — a program designed to help women facing economic hardship regain stability through training and employer partnerships. While the heart of InPowerED™ is tied to Stop Divorce-Driven Poverty™, the program supports women in many circumstances who need practical skills and a stronger path forward.
What I’m most proud of is building three brands that are purposeful, impactful, and successful by my definition. I’m proud that I took hard life chapters and turned them into platforms that create opportunity for other people. I’m proud of work that helps organizations grow — and even more proud of the work that helps people rebuild and ReFind Resilience™.
What makes me stand out is that I bring both professional expertise and lived perspective to every project. I’m not interested in fluff or vanity metrics — I’m focused on credibility, relationships, and outcomes that actually sustain the story. I care deeply about the “why,” and I’m just as committed to the “how.”
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that resilience isn’t just something you “have” — it’s something you build on purpose, one decision at a time.
For a long time, I thought strength meant doing everything alone and never letting anyone see you struggle. But the turning points in my life and work came when I got clear on what mattered, asked for support, and built the right relationships around that vision. Pride will keep you stuck. Partnership will move you forward.
I’ve also learned that clarity changes everything. When you know who you are, what you stand for, and what you’re building, it becomes easier to set boundaries, choose aligned opportunities, and stop chasing what looks good but doesn’t actually fit.
If I had to summarize it, it’s this: you don’t rise by muscling through — you rise by getting clear, staying consistent, and letting the right people help you carry the weigh
