I started NXGEN Concrete with one clear mission: build a company people could trust, one that shows up, communicates, and delivers work that looks good and lasts.
In the beginning, it was just me wearing every hat. I was finding the work, bidding it, coordinating materials, and still being on site making sure the prep was right and the finish was clean. I learned quick that concrete isn’t just pouring its planning, timing, weather, grade, compaction, rebar, details, and accountability. If you cut corners, it always shows later. So I built NXGEN around doing it right the first time.
As the work grew, the reputation grew with it. One solid job turned into referrals, then repeat builders and bigger contracts. That momentum led to what I’m most proud of: NXGEN being recognized as Best in Salt Lake two years in a row, and earning the reputation as one of the best concrete contractors around not because of hype, but because of consistent results.
And it wasn’t just small jobs. We’ve taken on high-profile commercial projects where there’s no room for mistakes tight schedules, strict specs, inspections, coordination with other trades, and real pressure to perform. Those jobs sharpened our systems and proved we can handle big scopes while still keeping quality high.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I started NXGEN Concrete with almost nothing—no big bankroll, no safety net, just a vision and the willingness to outwork whatever was in front of me. People see the wins now, but the beginning was pressure.
There were days I was trying to build a real company while running on fumes. No funds meant every decision mattered materials, fuel, rentals, insurance, payroll everything hit at once. I had moments where I’d look at the numbers and genuinely wonder how I was going to make payroll. That kind of stress changes you. It forces you to get sharper, faster.
And the labor side? That was another battle. Workers not showing up, crews quitting mid-week, people saying they’re coming and disappearing when it’s time to work. I’d be standing on site thinking, “If I don’t figure this out right now, the whole job falls apart.” So I learned how to adapt how to step in, how to lead, how to keep projects moving even when the plan fell apart.
I was 26 years old carrying responsibilities most people don’t understand until much later. I wasn’t just pouring concrete I was managing schedules, customers, inspections, suppliers, employees, and the reputation of a brand I was building in real time. And honestly, it didn’t always go how I wanted. There were setbacks, mistakes, slow seasons, unexpected costs, and moments where it felt like the weight was too heavy.
But that’s where NXGEN was forged. Not in the easy days in the days I kept showing up anyway.
Over time, the struggle turned into structure. The chaos turned into systems. The lessons turned into leadership. And the work started speaking for itself leading to Best in Salt Lake two years in a row, being known as one of the best concrete contractors, and earning the trust to take on big, high-profile commercial jobs where performance is everything.
That’s my story starting with nothing, taking hits, carrying the pressure, and building NXGEN into something real brick by brick, pour by pour until the results became undeniable.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was working with my father and spending time with him. Those moments meant everything to me not just because we were getting things done, but because I was learning from him and building that bond.
My dad has always been a huge inspiration in my life. He’s one of the very few people who truly believed in me from the beginning, even when I was still trying to figure everything out. Looking back, that time with him helped shape who I am today my work ethic, how I carry myself, and the drive I have to build something real.
