Community Highlights: Meet Izzy Worthington of Izlo Apparel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Izzy Worthington.

Hi Izzy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey by following my passion for skiing which then came with creativity, which naturally led me toward leadership and building community. Growing up in Park City, Utah, I was surrounded by the ski industry and learned early on the value of hard work and discipline.

In 2022, my Sophomore year of high school, everything seemed to come together at once, it was a big turning point for me. That year, I quit ski racing and began skiing halfpipe competitively while also taking a leap and starting my own business. Balancing training, travel, school, and entrepreneurship pushed me outside my comfort zone and taught me how to manage pressure, stay disciplined, and adapt quickly.

I got to where I am today by taking risks, committing to goals, and staying consistent even when things felt overwhelming. Starting halfpipe skiing and my own business in the same year forced me to learn quickly, manage my time, and trust myself. I turned challenges into growth opportunities. You just need to keep going. Knowing that being rejected by a potential buyer or not doing your best in a competition is a privilege and a sign that there is always time and always a way to improve. Each setback is proof that you’re in the game, learning, growing, and moving forward. Progress comes from persistence, reflection, and the willingness to show up again with more experience than before.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting halfpipe skiing and a business in the same year meant learning everything at once, often through trial and error. Owning a business under the age of 18 was especially challenging because of state laws, which made navigating finances, and logistics much more complicated. On top of that, selling hats while constantly on the road was really difficult, I needed to find reliable people to make hats for me so I could fulfill orders on time while keeping up with competitions and travel.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Izlo Apparel?
My business started as a passion project and quickly grew into something I’m incredibly proud of. We specialize in creating high-quality, unique hats that combine style, functionality, and personality. From day one, our goal has been to make headwear that stands out not just for looks, but for the experience it gives the wearer.

What sets us apart is that we don’t just follow trends; we create them. Every hat is designed how the buyer likes it such as the ability to mix and match different fabrics and choose your own size.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the relationships we’ve built with our customers and how much my business has grown. I want to say yes to every opportunity that comes to me that will help grow my business and spread the word. People don’t just buy a hat, they become part of our story. Readers should know that you can shop our hats online at izloapparel.com
and use discount code STAYWARM for 30% off. Every product we create is made with care and passion, and we’re excited to share that with the community.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that it’s okay to get rejected, whether it’s from a store, a sale, or an idea that doesn’t work out. There’s always room to improve in a business, and that process never truly ends. That’s what makes it so exciting: the chance to try new things, figure out what works, and continue finding ways to delight customers and grow sales. Every setback is just an opportunity to learn and do better next time.
