Exploring Life & Business with Lyndsay & Michael Morger & Smith of Force Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyndsay & Michael Morger & Smith.

Hi Lyndsay & Michael, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Force Fitness opened its doors on October 1 in South Jordan, Utah, born from a passion Michael and I have shared for many years through bodybuilding and training. Fitness has played a major role in shaping our lives, and we wanted to create a space where others could experience that same sense of growth and confidence, no matter where they are starting from.

Our vision was simple: build a gym where everyone feels welcome. Whether someone is brand new to fitness or an experienced lifter, we wanted a space where people feel supported, challenged, and motivated every time they walk through the doors. Creating a strong, encouraging community has always been at the core of Force Fitness, and seeing members connect, gain confidence, and reach goals together has been incredibly rewarding.

Building this dream alongside your partner brings a unique kind of fulfillment, and we’re proud of what Force Fitness is becoming and the community forming around it. With plans to expand in the near future, we’re excited to see how far this journey will go and grateful for everyone who has chosen to be part of it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to opening definitely came with its challenges. We had less than two weeks to assemble all of our equipment and prepare the space before opening our doors, which meant long days and very little rest leading up to launch. In those early months, we also dealt with ongoing issues with our Bluetooth door access system, which was frustrating while we were working hard to create a smooth experience for our members.

Through it all, our friends showed up in a huge way, helping wherever they could and keeping us going when things felt overwhelming. And I truly couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Michael to build this dream with, having someone who shares the same vision and passion/drive makes even the toughest moments worth it.

Now, four months in, things are finally flowing the way we envisioned. The right people are finding us, our community continues to grow, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see everything starting to come together after those early hurdles.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Force Fitness?
Force Fitness is more than just a gym to us, it’s a community-centered training space built for people at every stage of their fitness journey. Whether someone is stepping into a gym for the first time or has years of training experience, our goal is to provide an environment where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and motivated to improve.

We specialize in strength training and bodybuilding-style training, but what truly sets us apart is the culture we’ve created. Members aren’t just working out in the same building, they encourage each other, celebrate progress together, and genuinely enjoy being here. We’ve been intentional about building a gym that feels motivating without the intimidation many people associate with fitness spaces.

One thing we’re especially proud of is how personal Force Fitness remains. We know each and every one of our 130 members, and as we continue to grow, we plan to always stay front and center in the gym. We never want to lose that personal connection or the hands-on involvement that helped build this community in the first place.

Brand-wise, what we’re most proud of is the supportive community forming around Force Fitness. People come here not just to train, but to build confidence, relieve stress, and become part of something positive. Seeing friendships form and watching members grow stronger physically and mentally is what makes this so rewarding for us.

We want readers to know that Force Fitness is a place where anyone can start, belong, and progress. As we continue to grow and look toward future expansion, our mission remains the same: to build a supportive, high-energy environment where people can become the strongest version of themselves.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Michael and I both agree that without extreme risk there is no reward. We’ve both owned successful businesses our whole lives, and although this is something much bigger and way different than anything either of us have ever done, we’re locked in and confident in our ability to thrive.
