Exploring Life & Business with Kellie Webb of North Ogden Flower Farm

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kellie Webb.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
What began as a small garden experiment in 2018 quickly grew into something more. I started growing flowers purely for the joy of it, and by 2020, that passion turned into a full-fledged business. Today, we farm two acres—including a 96-foot high tunnel—growing cut flowers for the public and for florists. We host on-farm classes and U-Pick events, and create bouquets and DIY buckets for brides. Last year alone, more than 50,000 stems left our farm.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like most small farms, there was a steep learning curve—weather challenges, crop failures, and figuring out how to scale without overextending ourselves. Learning the business side of farming, from pricing and labor to timing and cash flow, came with its own set of growing pains. But each challenge pushed us to adapt, refine our systems, and build a farm that’s both resilient and sustainable.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about North Ogden Flower Farm?
We offer fresh, locally grown cut flowers to both the public and florists, along with seasonal on-farm classes and U-Pick experiences. For weddings, we provide custom bouquets and DIY flower buckets, allowing couples to create beautiful, meaningful arrangements with flowers grown naturally to protect the environment—and the people who grow, arrange, and enjoy them. We love bringing something real and beautiful to our community, and we hope to be here for years to come.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was curious and driven, with a deep love of learning and being outdoors. I was happiest when I was moving—exploring, creating, and staying active—and I’ve always valued meaningful connections with family and friends. That combination of curiosity, energy, and connection still shapes how I live and work today.
