Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronnie Schmitz.
Hi Ronnie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a newer to this beautiful state of Utah ( born and raised in Southern California), and my journey started in November 2023 after I came to visit my mother, step-father, and younger brother and his family in Lehi.
I have been truly blessed with opportunities for work, and had saved some money while working overseas on a US Army Garrison on a small island in the Pacific Ocean called the Marshall Islands. It is called USAGKA ( United States America Garrison Kwajalein Atoll).
Then, I eventually found me a town home in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
Long story short. My desire to become more involved in my local community, and utilize my experience in construction materials testing and inspections has been the driving force behind opening a small business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I try to be positive in everything that I say and do.
Some challenges were: Trying to navigate my way to set up the LLC, completing all required Professional Real Estate Inspection Certification Program Courses, attaining a Business License, etc., while working full time with the beautiful City of Salt Lake. My role in Salt Lake is as an ICC Certified Commercial and Residential Building Inspector.
True that life has challenges, but I want to be positive and work through them.
Hopefully come out stronger, and as a better human being during the growth. Positive Vibes.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The name for my business actually came from my friends that I have known since 2008 /2009 from a church I attended in Perris, California.
Growing as a man, and as an adult has had tough times.
I have been blessed to have overcome many of life’s battles with the help of my faith in Jesus Christ.
My friends John and Carmen Smith sent me a plaque to place in my new home. The plaque had Nikao and a verse from 1 John 5:4 with my last name.
Nikao is a Greek term from the Bible which means
to overcome, to conquer, to prevail
This was the meaning and driving force to begin a business “Nikao Home Inspections LLC”.
Ultimately to give Glory to the Man upstairs for making me the man I am today. Hopefully, to ultimately become a better human being than I was yesterday!! Overcoming life’s battles, I HAVE HAD HELP!
I am proud that I have had the opportunity to overcome a lot of life’s challenges and hopefully provide positive outcomes through Nikao Home Inspections LLC.
