Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany George.
Hi Tiffany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From the roaring rapids of the Colorado River to the serene strength of the reformer, my journey has always been defined by movement and adventure. For over 27 years, I navigated the Grand Canyon as a river guide, a chapter of my life that taught me the incredible resilience of the human body and the transformative power of the great outdoors. My thirst for exploration has taken me across the globe, leading to a chance encounter at Everest Base Camp in Nepal where I met my husband—a reminder that the best paths in life are often the ones we dare to trek.
In 2019, I traded my raft for springs when I took the leap into studio ownership. Transitioning from the adrenaline of the river to the precision of Pilates felt like a natural evolution; both require a deep connection to your core and a steady focus. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching and managing the studio, pouring my adventurous spirit into every session. Whether I’m guiding a first-timer or a seasoned practitioner, my goal is to help you discover the same strength and balance that sustained me through decades of wild terrain.
The heart of this studio is reflected in its name: Pilates for Everyone. We believe that fitness should never be exclusive or intimidating. We’ve built an inclusive sanctuary where every body is welcome, regardless of age, ability, or background. Our mission is to strip away the barriers to entry and provide a space where you can improve your mobility and confidence at your own pace. I’m always up for a new adventure, and I would be honored to have you join me for your next one right here on the Reformer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I practiced Pilates with the previous owner, Robyn Misewicz, (Pilates by Robyn) for over 10 years prior to purchasing it in 2019. I was lucky enough to study under her keen eye and she was invaluable in teaching me the ins and outs of running the business side to the studio. I owned it 7 months before I had to temporarily shutter the doors due to Covid. Luckily, I was still fairly naive to the business world and didn’t fully comprehend the panic that my counterparts were struggling with.
Yet, even as revenue stalled and the future felt uncertain, I refused to let that be the end of our story. We pivoted, learned to connect virtually, staggered class times, changed our cleaning routines and distancing protocols and found that the need for a supportive movement practice was more essential than ever for our students’ mental and physical health. This challenge only deepened my commitment to ensuring that our studio remains a stable, inclusive anchor for everyone who walks through our doors.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Pilates for Everyone, we believe movement is a universal language that should be accessible to every body, regardless of age, fitness level, or background. Our studio specializes in Pilates Reformer and creating a non-intimidating, inclusive environment where the focus is on progress over perfection.
