Exploring Life & Business with Aubrey Baldwin of The Club

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubrey Baldwin.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I moved to Boston in 2012 chasing a boy. While living there, I decided to finish my bachelor’s degree and in the meantime worked as a body waxer which I both excelled at and enjoyed. The relationship and my time ended in Boston and I moved to Park City in 2018 for a job producing live Broadway-style shows. In 2020, live entertainment, like most things, was hit really hard and my position was eliminated. I spent a year working odd jobs and eventually decided I couldn’t be an employee anymore. I saw a gap in Park City for waxing services and calling on my former expertise to open Park City Waxing Studio in 2021. I worked solo for about a year, then moved into a bigger space and hired my first employee. We grew again in 2023 with two more employees. Then last year, I had an opportunity to move into another larger space that was connected to a yoga studio. I knew the owners of the studio and their grief around running it, so I saw an opportunity and went to them suggesting that I take over the entire space. Shockingly, they were immediately on board and I purchased their assets to open what is now Summit Yoga in December of 2025. Currently, Summit Yoga and PC Waxing Studio are operating under ‘The Club’, a wellness collective that also includes massage therapy, an Infared sauna, and so much more. My vision went from working for myself to creating a space that is inclusive of everyone, fosters community, and provides everything you could need under one roof.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Opening Park City Waxing Studio was smooth. I think that I was well prepared for business ownership from running tours with my previous employer, and because it was such a gradual growth, there were very few surprises along the way. Opening Summit Yoga and The Club have been a completely different experience. I came into an existing business that already had years of clientele and a mess from the previous owners both physically and metaphorically. The last 9 months have provided lease issues and disagreements, loan delays, a few disgruntled community members, and more 12 hours days than I bargained for. Additionally, I had been accepted into the Goldman Sachs 10k Small Businesses program the same week that the asset purchase was complete. The program’s workload along with the business transition sent me into more than one spiral.

We’ve been impressed with The Club, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Club is not only a wellness collective, but a space that drives community. The open lobby is both welcoming and bright aesthetically, and the employees and contractors in the space are happy to be here. We have a variety of wellness and beauty services including body waxing, permanent makeup, lash services, massage therapy and an infared sauna in a private room with a shower. In addition to the wellness and beauty services, there is a large variety of class times and types in the yoga studio. There are fitness classes on the Summit Yoga schedule, but our focus is yoga and if you come in for a yoga class it’s immediately clear that the teachers are passionate and knowledgable about their practice. We have everything from hot classes at 100+ degrees to restorative classes with breath work and sound baths

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
For better or for worse, when I make a decision, I have to see it through. Once I get set on something it’s all I can see. I’m a big believer of manifestation, and everything that I’ve built is because I’ve seen it before it happened. I also pride myself in being a good communicator with the people that work for me. You cannot successfully run a business if the people under you don’t trust or respect you. It’s hard, but setting boundaries while also being flexible is a non-negotiable for me when it comes to working with people. I expect open lines of communication and understanding from both them and myself
